Thanks for sharing, I think I'm in a similar boat as you, and submitted my inquiry to NVC today. Did you get a response from them? How long did it take? Also, how were you able to pay the fees and submit the application if the visa class was F24? Mine is grayed out and says it's on hold until a visa becomes available.
