Yeah, I'm open to anything at this point...apparently some other April filers are also waiting at my local office (Chicago) so maybe they're just super slow. I don't know. I've seen other people say moving from one state to another is not supposed to slow down the case and that they're supposed to honor the date you originally filed, so it's weird to me that people who filed after have gotten biometrics, but nothing here.
I did that back in July for "did not receive notice by mail", because it used to say they were going to send me some kind of notice that the case was transferred to the new office, but I never got that notice and the mention of transfer to the new office disappeared completely from myusics.
I guess technically I'm still within normal processing time, (case inquiry date is September 22, 2019) as of today, but at this point I just want to know if the case even got transferred to the new local office....I haven't had any indication or anything that it has, and the status mentioning it disappeared entirely from the account. When I filed the inquiry back in July, all I got was this generic reply that I posted a few pages back:
Thanks for helping out everyone, really appreciate it. 😇
So I know somebody that needed to call to reschedule her interview in the Boston office. She called uscis at this number +1-800-375-5283 and kept saying info pass or info pass interview and she was able to talk to an officer pretty quickly. I think is worth trying for you! She called more than once btw

I finally got my biometrics notice 1/23/21. I don’t have the date yet. But how long does it usually take from biometrics to being interviewed?
I was able to see my biometrics appointment letter under “documents” the next day after 9 am. My biometrics appointment was Jan 13 and I got a notice about 30 mins after the biometrics that they were actively working on my case. Then on Jan 18 I got the notice that interview was scheduled.

i don’t think that the estimated completion time is accurate. Mine used to say September 2020, then went away completely sometime in July/August. It came back sometime in November. Now it says my estimated time is June 2021 but my interview is Feb 26.

Hi again guys!
I went to my biometrics appointment last Wednesday (1/13) and today I got an email that my interview was scheduled. I can’t see the appointment notice yet, I’m guessing tomorrow will be up. My field office is Lawrence, MA.

Oh wow, I'm surprized they're still scheduling biometrics at this point (instead of just reusing the old ones). Good to know.
Yeah! My office is super fast but I think what slowed me was the biometrics. I was pretty sure I needed new biometrics, my last one was in 2012 😬. I have seen a couple of people from the same field office that filed after me having interview (and same day oath!) but those people had their biometrics reused.

Update: estimated wait time now says 31 days. Seems oddly specific but let's see what happens.
Hopefully that’s good news! My estimated completion date is not there anymore. Used to be September 2020, then It changed to October 2020 a few days ago and now nothing 😩

Estimated wait time here changed to one month less, so it's now
- Estimated case completion time January 2021 (4 months)
-
Estimated wait time: 2 months
I assume the 2 months is estimate time until biometrics?
No changes on either status though.
Mine still says September 2020 for Estimated case completion 😬
Estimated wait time: still say they are taking longer than expected.

That's a good question....there's an ongoing biometrics thread, might be worth asking in there:
I’ll check it out! Thank you!!!

And speaking about biometrics. What is the oldest you guys have seem them using? From what people are reporting. I haven’t read that much outside this April thread

Nine years ago?? Wow, you waited a while to apply for citizenship! What made you finally decide?
I guess quarantine and having a lot of time in my hands! Lol. I know I should’ve done it a long time ago 🤷🏻♀️ But I’m glad I finally submitted everything

Just an update for April filers. I filed last April 1. And today I got an update that interview was scheduled and that they will reuse my old biometrics! April filers moving along! My field office is Lawrence, MA
This gives me hope! That’s my same field office. I filed April 22, but I haven’t heard anything yet. I also doubt they’ll use my old biometrics since they were done like 9 years ago. However, my case is still showing September 2020 for estimated completion date and hasn’t changed for a while. Hope I get a notice soon!

Everytime you login or refresh the page after you login it changes...I assume there's a glitch.
Weird because mine said October for a long time (I check daily). My ASC just opened on 7/27 so was expecting a change on it, for good or worse. Reading all of other experiences does make me think there is a glitch

I don’t know how accurate this all is but before my completition time was October 2020. This morning when I checked it was showing like it got pushed another month, like most of you, November 2020. However, I just checked again and now it says September 2020. Not complaining at all if it’s real 🤷🏻♀️🙃

April online filers, did anyone get a paper snailmail NOA after you filed? We never got that and now I'm wondering if that is cause for concern.
I did receive a paper NOA.

Page updated earlier with this message, i wonder if any of you guys got it before?
Estimated wait time:
We are taking longer than expected to process your case. You do not need to do anything at this time.
I got that same message today

There were a few questions in the N-400 form asking if you had filed your taxes, if you owe taxes etc. I bet they want to see the tax return transcripts to make sure you actually filed your taxes like most residents are required to, my guess is that it has something to do with the moral character part. If that's the case then it should apply under both the 3 year and 5 year rule. It's just a guess, and one can probably bring it to the interview, or possibly get an RFE.
I’ll probably just upload them to be safe! Thanks!

I'm not entirely sure, I would assume taxes are also part of showing your status as living in the US (thus residency requirement). I don't know what the 5 years based application looks like because I only saw the 3 year marriage based one.
Thanks, I’ll do my research ☺️

Taxes are also required, along with Selective Service proof (if applicable).
Is this for everybody submitting the application based on 3 years marriage?
I’m filing based on 5 years but didn’t upload any tax returns, was just going to bring the past 5 years to the interview? Also what else should I submit? I only uploaded my gc, marriage certificate and my kids birth certificate -

This is the same for me. It's our 10 year at the end of May.
I'm doing under the 5 year rule - what "additional evidence" did you submit? That's where I'm at now on the online application.
I have attached the required front and back copies/scans of my GC, and our marriage certificate.
What is acceptable to submit?
I have the speeding ticket/citation and proof of paymen that I accounted for earlier in the application, also a screengrab of my driving record from the DOT's website stating said citation is on my driving record - where should I submit those? Under the cited/detained areas in this portion?
I was reading in posts back that the picture page from my passport would be a good idea, along with driver's licenses to prove that I have been living in the same residency for the required 5 years.
Any other suggestions as to what I could send?
I only submitted a copy of my GC, marriage certificate and birth certificate of both of my kids. I’m guessing that, unless they request any other documents, I will be bringing the rest of documenta to the interview, like my tax returns from the past 5 years and I don’t know what else?

Just filed online yesterday. Was about time as it will be our 10 year marriage anniversary this summer 😊
This online filing and updates are great. Is showing an estimated case completion of 5 months (September 2020).
What does estimated wait time (17 days for me) means? Thanks!

I had my interview yesterday in Lawrence, MA. I passed! Super easy and very nice officer. Same day Oath is offered here, so that was a great plus! I hope it moves quickly for everybody else 😊
