    Hi

Nvc sent our petition back to uscis,  13 sep.  We had no idea,  will be calling uscis this week and see what we can find out

It's the best to do, it's exhausting for us, it's annoying for them to answer multiple phone calls asking the same, but we need to push as much as we can to find out answers or solutions. Don't wait for notifications on their website, they do not update that every time, we got married and live together now, and the USCIS website for the K1 visa, still said that NVC "has the case".

Hello, this same situation happened to me. How did yours end up?

Hi, eventually our K1 was approved, but it took 2 years. Every month we were contacting USCIS or NVC to get an answer, as we mentioned before, we contacted senators from the state I live, eventually the case was in Panama (no notification from USCIS, the embassy sent us an email with the next steps). My recommendation is to contact as much as you can to everyone, even the embassy. It's exhausting but I think if you wait for  a notification, it might take even longer. I met someone that their case was sitting in the embassy for 2 weeks and they never got the notification until they called the embassy to ask for it.

Hey I ended up getting the same thing did you ever get an update on what was wrong? And if so how long did it take?

Hey I am really sorry to hear that, we know how frustrating that is. We never learned the reason that it was recalled. We ended up contacting senators and representatives to assist. They weren't able to gather much more information as to why, but when our case did end up back in Panama we found out through one of the senators. Never heard from the embassy in Panama the second time it arrived there. I even called the USCIS and spoke with a Tier 2 officer who still would not reveal any information as to why the case was recalled. It was a very frustrating delay but we eventually were approved April 7th 2022 and are getting married next weekend. We wish you luck and if you have any other questions, reach out to us.

  4. We ended up reaching out to all our various congressmen. The initial emails we received from the USCIS through the congressmen were along the lines of "The case is under review and there are 3 outcomes, request for evidence, approved or denied, the case is being processed in order". Really basic and pretty useless information. However at the end of December around the 28th we received a letter from a congressman forwarded from the Embassy in Panama stating that the paper version of the case had been received by the Embassy in Panama and they were awaiting the electronic version in order to proceed with scheduling of interviews etc. However, it has been over a month and there has been no contact from the embassy in Panama, the case status on the USCIS website has not been updated, nor has the case status of the Embassy in Panama's website. It has been an incredibly slow and frustrating process.

It is possible that there is some clerical process (such as a stamp, like Ontarkie suggested) that NVC does complete.

Is your US embassy conducting K visa interviews at the moment?

Yes they are. We had received our welcome package from the embassy in Panama and we were preparing to schedule our interview when the case was returned. It literally happened 24 hours after we received the email from the embassy with the information for scheduling the interview.

  6. Hello all,

So our K-1 Visa process has been difficult so far.

    NOA1 April 2020.

Received our NOA2 in March 2021.

In April 2021 our case was returned to the USCIS by the Dept of State. On July 6th 2021 our case was finally forwarded to the embassy in Panama by the NVC. We received our welcome package from the Panama Embassy and we were preparing our documents/scheduling an interview date. On July 15th 2021 we were informed our case was requested back by the NVC

Called the NVC and was told that the case was requested to be returned by the USCIS. I have requested to speak to a Tier 2 officer at the USCIS but am still awaiting a call back (deadline August 30th 2021). I spoke with the NVC today (August 16th 2021) and was told they still have our case and that it is undergoing "Administrative Processing" before it will likely be returned to the USCIS.

Is any of this normal? What can we expect at this point? Our NOA2 has already expired, is that going to be an issue? Anything we can do at this point?

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Feeling like we are getting nowhere. It is always one step forward, several steps back😔

  7. Hello all,

We received our NOA2 from USCIS on March 11th 2021, on April 15th we got notification from the NVC that our case was returned to USCIS after we had sent an inquiry about our case a couple weeks prior. No information as to why it was returned to USCIS. On April 22nd 2021 USCIS received the case and the current status says "Department of State Sent Case to USCIS For Review". We immediately sent an inquiry but have not heard back. Does anyone have any idea why the case would be sent back to USCIS? Would that indicate an issue with our case? Something we did or something USCIS got wrong? We would appreciate any insight if anyone has experienced something similar.

    Thanks,

    Colin

Accordingly, CSC is reporting June 9, 2020.  Any petition older than that is eligible for a service request

I did. This is what they said:

Thank you for your inquiry. We recognize your interest in the final adjudication of your pending application/petition and are aware of the difficulties caused by any delay in processing. We regret we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will review your case but the California Service Center is committed to processing this workload. We will be making every effort to adjudicate your case in the most efficient manner based on our available resources. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

    Not much help though.

  9. Hello,

I filed our I-129F application on April 23rd 2020 with an NOA1 of April 29th 2020. It is currently at the CSC but we have not received any info since then. The USCIS processing times says they are currently processing applications from June 9th 2020. On January 23rd 2021 we used the USCIS website to file an inquiry because our case is outside normal processing times. We received this response on the 1st of February 2021:

Thank you for your inquiry. We recognize your interest in the final adjudication of your pending application/petition and are aware of the difficulties caused by any delay in processing. Does anyone know what else we can do to try and get an update as to why our case seems to be taking so long? I see a lot of other people with similar timelines as us that have received their NOA2 1-2 months ago. We are worried something is wrong with our case but don't know what we can do to further investigate.

    Thank you for any help
