It is most likely a glitch in the system. About a year ago (maybe longer) CEAC started showing a refused status right before turning to issued. Nobody knows why but it has caused some anxiety. If you didn't get a 221(g) at the interview and they kept the passports everything should be OK.

I am very hopeful that that is the case. I am having an anxiety attack here. My kids are so excited when i arrived. Haven't seen each other in 5 years. Hopefully everything goes well.

  2. Hello,

do any one here have a good number to call or email of the us embassy Manila? I have dialed the number bout a hundred times and whenever i get lucky to talk to someone, the line cuts off.
my kids(IR2) had their interview last week and the Consul stated that he is recommending approval and to wait to 2-4 weeks for the passport delivery. I checked the case status yesterday and it was changed/ updated 2/17 from Ready to Refused. Please help. I just came here to pick up my kids and i feel bad to have their hearts broken since there is a chance that they will not go with me this time if this is the case.

  3. Please help and enlighten me. My kids appeared at the us embassy in Manila last February 9. The interview went well and the officer said he is recommending approval and to wait 2-4 weeks for the visa/ passport. Even after the interview, CEAC status did not change. It stayed as Ready Status. This afternoon the status changed to Refused. What should i do? Should i contact the embassy or wait for them to contact me? We did not receive any 221 G slip or any white slip. Please help.

Correct.  The form will get that right for you if you complete it correctly.  For each child, count one intending immigrant and two existing children.  If spouse is also immigrating count all three children on the spouse form and enter 0 for spouse on the same form to avoid counting twice and BECAUSE the spouse is already sponsored on that form/affidavit.

May I use I-864EZ given they each have separate petitions? Or I-864 is okay? I meet the income requirements.
