  1. Alllll right, good to see more people getting approved!! Congrats to you both!

Hopfully less than a few weeks left for me!

Hi Tim, My name is Jack and I am trying to get my Fiancee from Vietnam to the US also. Pretty much like you. Can I ask you a few questions if I get stuck? I am trying to do this the correct way and fast as possible. It's hard loving someone who on the other side of the world. Thanks and good luck..If you ever go back to Vietnam, I would recommend a few place you sure visit. It's so beautiful there. Take care....

    Jack,

Of course, I'd be glad to help however I can. If I don't know the answer, multiple other people will chime in, I'm sure. When I went I visited Saigon (Tram lives just outside of downtown across the river), and I spent a few days in Dalat. Hopfully I'll be going back soon and often, I love it there! My work is also in the process of opening a new plant in Saigon so I might get to go on the company's dime :).

  2. Tram and I rarely talk on the phone. (for those of you with the ability to) You can grab a head set, a webcam, a laptop, and AIM or Yahoo messenger and have audio/video chats that are all keystroke logged (good for evidence?) and I personally find the quality of the sound better on the messengers than I do on the phone... Phone has a second or two delay when we talk which makes things very confusing. Messengers are spot on! (AND FREE) So my only phone bill is my standard $48 cell phone bill.

When are cell bills going to come down is the better question... by now it should be dirt cheap with unlimited everything... The only people that I know that still don't have Cells are walking around with bottles in their hands! It's not some new trendy thing that they need to be charging an arm and a leg for. Between gas and phone bills some of you peeps are probably burning through $500-$1000 a month or more.

  3. Hello!

I've been posting around here and there but haven't said hi yet!

    so...

    HI!

I'm Tim. I'm filing for a K1 visa for my wife Tram. We had a Traditional Buddhists wedding, so I call her my wife. No worries, no paperwork was done on it! I have some pictures of us and my trip to Vietnam that I'll link to as well :).

Blooper pictures my Mother ever so kindly posted.

    Enjoy!

  4. If you end up going to the St. Pete (tyrone) clerk... go before lunch time. Anything I've ever done there after lunch time and towards the end of the day seems to be a bit of a wait time. Still moves somewhat quickly though. I've also just showed up for everything, never made appointments (tickets, tags, registrations, passport, etc)

Looks like there's a handful of us St. Peresburgionians around here :).

I was against it for the longest time, then when all my family moved away and left me all alone it was the easiest way for us all to communicate. VERY good for keeping all my friends in touch. We all announce our comings and goings, parties, plans, etc. so that everyone knows whats up.

    For example:

1 friend is coming back from air force school in July

1 friend reminded me to get ready for the college football season (I go to a... lot... of games)

1 friend announced she was flying in and needs something to do for a few days.

My sister in law announced her new baby

I announced when I put new pictures up from my trip to Vietnam

    etc etc etc

It just makes staying in touch and knowing whats going on with everyone soooooooooo easy. No need to ask or bother people with random odd phone calls and such.
