  1. He should not leave his wife behind. Application as a Permanent resident means that he'd have to travel home and marry her legally AFTER getting the visa. We both know it may take years for this to happen, and much longer for him to be able to start a visa process for F2A (wife of permanent resident). I went through the IR1 and it took us over 3yrs due to COVID complications, the f2a (Permanent resident applicants) took much longer. I do not understand how marrying her now will make him get denied, unless he wants to stay single and isn't sure about his relationship.
  2. I did exactly that. I entered the US for a week and left, returned almost 5 months later. My green-card was mailed to my US address and someone mailed it to me in my home country via DHL. I had my green-card at my second entry, no questions asked. If you enter in June, and leave just try and return before the 6th month after exiting (count from date of exit). When you return try and stay in the US a couple of months after that. I worked immediately upon entry. All you need to show is the stamp. I received my SSN exactly 2 weeks after entry.
  3. I saw that in April stats Nairobi is at number 68k and below; have you now received an IL date?
  4. Perfect. Thanks. Let's then hope for 80k ish selectees. I really hope they get it as I just became a PR and would be thrilled to have family around.
  5. A family member has won the visa. Their number is below 55,000-- at around 49000. Is this number a guarantee they will be invited to an interview should they follow the process/submit the necessary documents? I know there's usually a cap on the numbers.
