Running away from responsibility because it's inconvenient? Good choice
no we are not running away at all.. we are trying to find out the right thing to do.. if we wanted to run away we would have done that a couple of days after the incident

Hello Eveyone,
I have to say that bringing my husband to the US has been very difficult to say the least! Ok with that said my husband drove the car we bought for him drunk on Halloween! He is very embarrassed and sorry and willing to pay the price for his mistake. While checking the website tonight I found out that probation is for two+plus years.. Well the long and short of it is we have decided we want to live in Morroco, instead of the US.. my question is if my husband is not a citizen of the US ( does not even have green card) will he not be allowed to leave if he has to serve the probation charge in Illinois?
Thank you!!

hello everyone
after filing the aos (green card) does anyone know how long it typically takes to get the green card?
-
Dear All,
Good Evening.. My husband and I are getting ready to file for the AOS (green card).. Our lease is up in July and we have started to think about moving. We live in a suburb of Chicago but would like to live in the city of chicago. Will this delay the card..
thanks in advance...

Good afternoon.
we are applying for my husband's permanet status and I need to know his status? he arrived in June on a k-1 visa. how do I answer the following
current usic status? expires on?
thank you in advance for your help
His status was K1 and the expiry date is the expiry date on his I-94 that should be in his passport. I hope you got married before that date?
thank you very much

hi everyone
after much work getting my husband here from Italy, we have both decided that our lives would be better in Marrakech Morroco. We have not filed yet for aos (green card) we are going to be doing that this month. we are wondering once my husband has the green card can he live in another country. the reason we want the card is so we can travel back to the states from morroco to visit my family. does anyone have an idea how this works.. thanks very much!!!

You can't live the country more then 6 monthes when you are a green card holder.if you leave and stay more then this time you are not able to comme back....
thank you.. so after you become a citizen.. you can leave the us and live in another country.. How long does it take before you can become a citizen in the united states?

Im assuming you got married within the 90 day timeframe. So your good. With regards to AOS there's is no real time limit. SOme people have submitted it soon after they got married some even waited for years. If you don't want to be "out of status" for long its better you submit it early. MOst (like me) really need even at least the Work permit to get SSN, acquire state id, driver's license, then eventually apply for a job.
thank you .. yes we were married within the 90 day period. We will apply for it hopefully sooner rather than later. I take he can not leave the country until he gets he aos.. we want to have an official marriage in morroco?

hello all,
I was wondering how long you have to apply for your aos. The fees is 1,000.00 omg and I am struggling to pay bills. My husband just got a very part-time job. please any information would definetly help.

Hello Everyone,
I was just reading the flowchart for k-1 visa. the flowchart states you can get a social security card with an I-94. my fiance obviously has the fiance visa is that the same thing as the I-94? and does tha means he can work. We are not planning on marrying for at least a month.
thank you

My question is my fiance is arriving to Chicago on June 24th. I was wondering if he can work right away or does he have to wait for the green card?

Good evening all:
my fiance, Salah had his interview last friday in Naples Italy. He had his interview, everything went well according to him, they took his passport and took his fingerprints. They told him to come back at 4:00pm. At 4:oo pm they told my fiance that there were 50 applicants that day and that they would send his passport back to Florence via Courrier. He thought it would only be a few days. Well it is now almost a week and no word for the agencia( the courier company). Salah my fiance called them today-Thursday and they said they have not recieved his passport from the Italian Consulate. Is this normal? Should I be worried or is this just Italy being slow.. I really miss my fiance and every day is starting to drive me into madness. Any thoughts?
Has he called the embassy? It normally does take 3-5 business days so it may even come today, plus - bank holiday Monday counts as 4 business days this week..I would get him to call the embassy on Monday next week if he still hasn't received it. Don't worry you will both be fine and with each other very very soon congratulations

Hi,
My Fiance and I met while she was on a work assignment for our multi national company. Our headquarters is in Seattle and a major faction of our business is in the delhi office. Anywasy I have since been laid off as the company is de-emphasizing US operations, instead choosing the financial gain India can offer. Anyways I always found it kinda ironoc. Lose a job gain a fiancee. No question whats preferable. So we filed and have been waiting and waiting. Sometimes it seems we are the last in line. Patiently we wait. Finally she is assigned an interview date. On June 25th at 7 AM! Everything that we have been dreaming of hinges on this meeting. Obviously we are scared. Having heard horror stories of the Delhi embassy only acccelerates our worry. I wont be able to attend as I am begining a new position with a company. Any advice or cause for concern in that regard? Would a hand written letter be useful? A email or phone call? It feels helpless and if she is denied I think she will crumble. The last couple days we both have feeling terribly anxious. All the documents are in order minus the medical which she will receive in the alloted timeframe. Im just really worried and have a brand new respect for all the others who go thru this.
Jason
I am not sure how strict New Dehli Embassy is but I dont think it would hurt to write a hand written letter stating your intentions.. Letters from relatives confirming your relationship. Email log and phone records also certainely help. I also sent all of my boarding passes and my passport entries coming and leaving italy. I would send everything and anything just to be safe. It seems like a lot of work but worth it.. Best of luck>>

sounds like CONGRATULATIONS to methank you !!! thank you for visa journey and the wonderful supportive people!!! Good Luck to you!!

It sounds to me like that is an approval, yes:-). If they were denying him they would have not kept the passport, or given it back to him right away. Saying they had too many visas to process that day means that they didn't have enough time to physically get around to processing your fiance's visa that day but would be doing so the next day and returning the passport with the visa to him via courier the day after that. So, congratulations!
Thank you thank you.. Kathryn.. I thought so as well.. finally the tears of joys are coming.. I wish you well with your journey as well!!!!!!

Hello All:
My Fiance had his interview today in Naples. He went presented all the papers, the interviewee said that his interview went well that all the papers were fine, They asked him to return at 4:00 pm. When he returned they said that they had too many 50 visa applications in that day and they were only able to issue 30 visa and that they were going to send his passport back to him in Florence in two days via DHL. Does this mean his has his visa? I am so confused.
Please help.
