  1. We got our approval today! PD March 14 2021. Actively reviewing August 10 Case approved today Petitioner is a US citizen, residing outside the US.
  2. Woke up to a notification that our case is being actively reviewed PD date: March 14 2021 NOA1 originally said Nebraska. Emma said Vermont from the first day.
  3. We were transferred to Vermont and our case couldn't be any more straight forward. There is nothing complicated whatsoever about it. Married for 6 years with a daughter. Husband and daughter are American Citizens living in Canada with me (I am a Canadian Citizen, my daughter has dual and my husband is a Permanent Resident of Canada). No criminal records, no previous immigration applications, no over-stays on visas, etc etc. It's just me who needs the visa to move to the USA. I think the hardest part is never knowing why things happen with our applications or how long it will be.
  4. We had a similar experience: NOA1 from Nebraska (both digital receipt and the mailed one). Checked with EMMA and its in Vermont. No rhyme or reason as to why it was moved. I felt incredibly discouraged and heartbroken because of the processing times in Vermont. I can only pray it's actually faster than it says. :(
  5. Our case was apparently transferred from Nebraska to Vermont. We are about as easy as it gets: American citizen married to a Canadian citizen with a dual citizen child, currently residing in Canada. Married over 6 years, no criminal records whatsoever. I really hope the processing times are incredibly inaccurate. I can't get over going from a center that is 2.5-7 months, to a center that is 24-35 months.
  6. Thank you I'm trying to stay positive and think that there was a good reason for it. I have read a few threads that had some thought that Vermont was for complicated spousal cases but we couldn't be further from complicated. Married for over 6 years, have a daughter. My husband and daughter are both US Citizens, currently living in Canada. No criminal records etc etc. So we are hoping it just goes smoothly and somewhat quickly.
  7. I am so heartbroken. Our online account says our case is in Nebraska. The receipt we received by mail says Nebraska. I decided to check with Emma today just because and it says we've been transferred to Vermont!!!! The slowest possible office! We went from 2.5-7 months to 28-36 months!!! This is just awful news 😢
  8. Hi Everyone! I have read through this forum and didn't find a question similar to mine so I thought I'd post my own. I am filing for an ITIN for myself. My husband (American citizen) and myself (Canadian citizen) live in Canada and have for the last 6 years. We are in the IR1 application process and need to get caught up on his American taxes. In the forms, it asks for identification documents that I'm submitting (passport, drivers license etc). Further into the instructions, it indicates that the original documents will be mailed back to me. Is that for residents within the USA? I am slightly nervous about mailing my one and only passport in the mail, for months on end (or however long it takes to get my ITIN processed). Any guidance would be greatly appreciated Have a great day!!
