Your posting history states you are already in the US via a K-1.....Exactly what did you submit????  The I-944 is not part of the spousal visa process.  It is part of the Adjustment of Status process.

I left the united states due to some of the requirements which I cannot provide before sending in my adjustment of status application,I read I have to do ealuation of my studies which will take a lot of time and will pass the 90days,the uscis offices are closed and no chances of getting the green card anytime son maybe until the end of the year,so I go an offer in Germany so I moved back and decided to file for i-130.I can't even make drivers license because all the dmv's are closed, it is really depressing. We called and they said they can't extend the 90days ,I can't finish the evaluation of credentials by may 26 and all aos submitted without i944 gets rejected. So we discussed and agreed going back makes more sense .The virus messed everything up

USCIS needs biometrics information in there system from a prior application,  not from the embassy

That means we new filers are stucked until who knows....many of us might be getting approved or gc by the end of the year because there will be backlog of biometric appointments and this will take some time and the pressure will be too much on them.

Hi Sarge! Long time! Hope all is well with you and your family. My husband USC had a good question. As you know we did the K1 Visa process I had the interview & medical in my home country however my fiancé at that time wasn’t able to attend. They did however drilled me! lol we’re in the AOS phase I just recently got approve for my EAD & AP. With your guess base on what I just briefly told you is there a possibility of an interview waiver? My I-485 status updated 65 days ago to (interview ready to be scheduled)

Hi,I will like to ask you if you did the biometrics here or they used the one you did at the embassy?because right now they are not giving appointments for biometrics.

I think all in all it came down to $305(10 business days). It includes the following:

    1. Evaluation of three degrees/certificate(course by course)

    2. Verification of the certificate(Varies based on the country)

    3. Two original hard copes to home(Shipping Cost)

Okay...thank you so much....I don't think you actually need the course by course evaluation ,it probably should just be comparison with the degree from here.

moreover I think one degree which might be the highest degree should be recognized.

Verification might not be necessary also since you are not using it to apply for work or study,so the general evaluation should be sufficient.

Right now we don't even know if they will be opened in May as they announced and biometrics will be delayed ,without biometrics nothing can be done.

Hi thr! So Yes I got in touch with them twice over phone before I paid the fees and applied(completely online). The way it works is you start the application online and all you need is scanned copies of the original(good quality) to be uploaded. They do all the documents at once, meaning the high school and college from the foreign country. Atleast that is what I was told on the phone before I applied.

Regarding the I-693, I live in SC so its not as tight of a situation here and I was able to access couple of places for the medical examination. I went with one of the lowest costing one( $375 including everything). I dont think it is utmost important to do so while initial application, but the only reason I did it because I had to wait anyways for the I-944 evaluation and the I-693 will be in my hand(sealed) before that. Also I might as well send a complete package once and for all. Hope that helps, please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks.

How much did you pay for the evaluation?

Yeah I would just go ahead and use your university transcripts! Best luck and keep us updated!

Hello, please I will like to ask you few questions?Did you apply directly to Spantran for the evaluation by scanning your credentials to them through email or their website and also is the i-693 really important right now as we can not even get access to doctors for now due to the pandemic?

I will be glad to read from you soonest.

@Sarge2155 filed in September last year.

You're just starting the process and the first step after submitting would be to get your biometrics done. This is a must before anything else can happen so as of right now it's probably not going to happen that you can get anything waived and receive the greencard soon.

Yeah you are right and I think the biometrics cannot even be done right now due to the virus.

You can enter, marry, and leave within 90 days fine, then obtain a CR-1 visa abroad. No issue there. It will just take time to get the CR-1 visa, obviously.

    Best wishes.

Edit: I will note that emergency AP is possible if you file for AOS. But it is hard to get...it would be risky at best. I'm just pointing it out as a possible option.

    Thank you so much...

  9. Please kindly advice,I am presently in the states on a K1 visa and I am planning to get married to my fiance this month but I have a pressing issue that I must travel outside the states in one month.

If we file for AOS it will take time before I can get the advance parole. I will like to know the implication of traveling outside the united states without  submitting the AOS but using a wedding certificate from the United states to file for spousal visa from abroad.

    Can this be possible?
