  1. Covid-19 definitely makes most of those cases to hit 2 years since the embassies were closed during those times specially mine definitely was (Ethiopia) for 8 month. I did some kind of analysis on visa Issuance between the two for 3 years and they were in 10% one being above the other. It probably means half of the cases before Covid were with in 2 years of Marriage and approval. But now the addition of Covid as a factor most are going above 2 years. I am at CR1 category for now. Thanks everyone for answering.
  2. That is a good guess. So the status from CR1 to IR1 could change at any time? I meant the NVC will always check the date of the Marriage before issuing visa right?
  3. Hi all, I just looked Visa Issuances for Immigrants Visa (IR1 vs CR1). IR1 visa were 6 or 5 times more than CR1 for Feb 2021. Most of the time they are very close and this applies to every country. For instance in Philippines IR1 = 249 Vs CR1 = 68. Ethiopia IR1= 69 vs CR1 = 18 . This definitely could be just random but I follow this numbers for quite a while I never seen it being so consistent for every country plus with a very wide margins. Any idea why? If your heard anything please share. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-statistics/immigrant-visa-statistics/monthly-immigrant-visa-issuances.html
  4. Looks like the Embassy is opened and picking up some cases at American Ambassy in Ethiopia. We all heard some news here and there but this confirms the speculations.Hope they can double it up in February 🙏🙏
  5. The only one I am seeing is DQ Dec 2019 and rescheduled cancelled appointments. Your looks like closer than mine since mine DQ is May 11th. We hoping after March the nearest.
  6. Glad to find few people whose cases are in Ethiopia. I used to call them every other week before September 2020 but now I kind of gave up I guess for a while. Your updates were great since I didn't know about they resume some routine visa process even though this is just for passport.Yes most of those people at the phone doesn't know any details about the process at all. I Will call and try myself again and will update you soon.I am thinking we should have one thread just for US embassy in Ethiopia or some kind of telegram or Facebook group. If anyone knows if there is one please share so we can join.
  7. Yes it's already approved a while Go. Waiting for an interview.
  8. Hi, My CR1 for a wife just got approved by some kind of miracle which I am so grateful for. Pd - 02/12/2020 and approved 03/31/2020. And it is already at NVC but I have another IR5 for my mother from 2018 Pd and Jan 2020 at NVC (got ref and resubmitted). The question I have is can I start CR1 while IR5 still NVC or wait for IR5 to be as the Embassy? Woudnt be a problem having 2 cases one for Mother and one for spouse at the same time(as long as I can afford to sponsor both)
  9. This is probably one in a million thing but I just got approved PD 02/12/2020 after getting transfer on 02/23 Nabraska to Vermont.I-129F was directly sent to Vermont. Feel bad for getting approved before others but you cant stop Gods miracle sometimes (not even a religious guy but this one might make me one more lol)
  10. I didn't get any text messages but I found out through Emma talking representative. I set up the phone email notification but never got any messages.
  11. I am on the same scenario like yours. I-130 sent to Nebraska (IOE receipt number on Feb 2020).I had it on my notice and called to confirm it's in Nebraska. I-129F sent to Vermont I also got confirmation for that. But yestarday March 6th I chatted with representatives through Emma and they told me My case got transferred to Vermont. My guess is that they are moving some old cases to Vermont and also probably they are merging some I-129f and I-130 cases in one place. Hope it's a good thing 🤞🙏🙏
  12. Will definitely do. The weirdest part is Vermont dont have processing timeline for K3 on USCIS website. Either they just started taking new once or it's just a storage lol. Thanks for the help.
  13. For the hope of having I-130 to get approved. But K3 got approved by any chance sooner than I130 I am ok with that. The question I have if by any chance they picked I129F for review what are they going to do it? Just deny it for having 2 forms?
