  1. So my husband is the USC and ive already been DQ-ed and am waiting for an interview at the embassy.

My husbands 2019 taxes show an insufficient amount since he was voluntarily unemployed for most of that year.

He started a new job with 90 grand pay at the end of 2019, through all of 2020, and is still currently employed there.

He also has liquid assets in the 6 figure range.

Should I still take a joint sponsor to the interview, (Ive already been DQed based on his 2018 taxes which were sufficient)? Or should I be fine with showing his bank balance, employment verification letter, 6 month pay stubs, and 2020 w-2 showing the amount he currently makes?

I belong to one of the MENA countries.

Yes, you should take the 2019 tax documents to the interview.  You should also take documentation proving his CURRENT yearly income.....such as pay stubs.

    Thank you.

I'll take the job offer letter, pay stubs, and checking account statement to the interview.

Should I also upload all these documents to NVC in additional documents, or no?

  3. IR1/CR1

My petitioner has submitted the affidavit of support, using tax returns from the 3 years 2016 2017 2018 and meets the minimum income requirements and was approved by the NVC.

    We are awaiting interview.

Now he did the 2019 taxes recently and his annual taxable income for 2019 is below the minimum income requirements since he was unemployed for a few months of 2019, however he got a job offer in the 2nd half of 2019 with a good salary.

    Now my question is

Would the Consular officer ask for the 2019 tax return?

If so, should I take the 2019 tax return with me to the interview, along with our checking account statement and his job offer letter to show that we have assets above the requirements?

Why do you think it might be mandatory when NVC has already COMPLETED their process on portal.

OP just want to do something that “some woman” on “some forum” was asking others to do it.  OP seems to believe “some woman” more than official NVC process.

Lol. So I called the NVC. You can do so yourself. They said it’s okay to add additional documents even after DQ. It doesn’t trigger another review and whether or not you want to add additional proof is on your discretion. Doesn’t harm the case, neither does it change your queue to the interview. Also mind the tone

Hello everyone 😊  we are filing I-130 for CR1 visa using help of emigration agency. They requested a joint bank account from us. My husband (US citizen) went to his bank and they said they need my signature and presence. Then he went to another and the same result. We feel so devastated by this paper work. Please help! Share your experience or bank in America that provide such service. Thank you in advance!

Hi, You can have your husband over to your home country and open a joint bank account there, if not the other way around.

  6. Hi, ive filed an IR1/CR1 from Pakistan. Got DQed from NVC a month back and am awaiting an interview. Would it be okay to upload proof of marriage like bank statements/pictures in additional documents? would this put me to the back of the NVC queue again or not? Since my case is already complete. Also, I'm the beneficiary and Im a doctor, do I need to fill out and upload the Public Charge Questionnaire while I'm at it?

    Hi Shoaib,

You need to contact NVC for further information because they required Urdu Nikah Nama along with its certified English Translation  make sure who ever is translating your Nikkah Nama provide a  separate letter  as a certificate along with English translation  and  Nadra Marriage Certificate for the safe side you can also attested these all form Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

    Thank you

    Shazy

Hey is it important for translator to attach a separate letter as certificate? My translator only stamped and signed the document, along with the notary public stamp.

Our case was sent to NVC ON 4/29 and we were given a case number on May 2nd, so it looks like they are still doing stuff on the front end at their office! Not sure yet if they are processing documents though? Have you seen anything new?

Yes NVC is still working on cases

    Hey

For my case, i didn't upload the NADRA marriage certificate and they sent me this message. "PAKISTAN requires more than one marriage document. Please delete any marriage certificates and submit all of required documents together at the same time." So i believe you should delete your previously submitted certificate and upload all three copies at the same time.

Yes I got the same reply. You have to upload urdu Nikah nama, translated English Nikah nama and nadra marriage certificate in the same pdf file.

  10. I’m a non-US citizen. In a country that has around 200 corona cases for now. I’ve applied for the CR1 visa. My husband is the US citizen. Our case is currently with the NVC, we’ve submitted our documents and DS-260. However the embassy in my country has recently notified on their website that they are cancelling all immigrant and non-immigrant visa appointments.
Does this affect my case? Considering that my case is in the NVC processing stage? Is NVC working on new cases these days amid the corona outbreak or does the embassy cancelling appointments mean that my case would be put on halt immediately? Thanking in anticipation

  11. I checked the travel.gov website and then the Islamabad consulate document requirements. It said that They don’t accept Pakistani police certificates and hence it is not required.
however after submitting my DS 260 I was directed to upload Pakistan police certificates in the civil documents.
Anyone knows why this contradiction is there and now do I have to get the certificates?

  12. I submitted the AOS and IV fee last night. I checked the “Visa status check” on the ceac website today and it says that “NVC has received your fees and you need to fill the DS-260”, however when I log onto my account on the ceac website it says that the fees is still “in process”. Anyone else facing a similar issue/knows what to do about this?
