My fiancee called the hospital in Guangzhou and was told that when she is doing her medical, she will also need to get her shots done.
From what I remembered, vaccination shots are not required, they can be done once she gets to the US.
Am I wrong or is this doctor trying to earn extra money?

We recently received our Packet 4. Our interview is on March 4.
On form GIV-24, it asks for the US citizen's US entry date and type of visa.
I am the US citizen. I came to the US in 1978. My dad who was a permanent resident petitioned to have my mom and myself who was 7 years old to come to the US. My dad does not know what type of visa we came to the US with.
I know this type of visa is called k-3 and K-4 now (spouse and child under 18).
What was it called 29 years ago???? What should my fiancee write on that question on form GIV-24?
Any information would be appreciated.
TIA!

Congratulations!
My fiancee and I will soon have to go through what you just went through. I hope we have the same results.
Looking at your timeline, I am hoping for to receive our P4 in middle of Feb.
Oh, Chinese New Year will surely cause some delay. haha

This is on the form I-134
Supporting evidence.
A. Statement from an officer of the bank or other financial institutions where you have deposits, identifying the following details regarding your account:
1. Date account opened;
2. Total amount deposited for the past year;
3. Present balance
I went to my Bank, JP Morgan Chase and the representative told me that they are unable to provide the total amount deposited for the past year. What should I do?

I read on some other forum that said one should submit with the I-134, the tax return of the most current year and that is should be notarized.
I had already sent the last three years of my tax transcript from the IRS to my fiancee in China. They are not notarized. Is that sufficient?

My fiancee can not find a place in Guangzhou that will allows her to type in the information and print
the DS-230 and OF-169 for the package 3.
Anyone's fiancee is or was in Guangzhou know of any place? suggestions? Can the forms be hand printed instead?
My fiancee does not have a computer at home.
Of course they can be hand printed.
Maybe I didn't phrased my question clearly. I did read the instruction on the form that it can be hand printed.
I am just worried. I don't want to give the consulate any reasons to somehow deny or delay our application.
Well, since it seems things that can easily be done in the US isn't so within China. I will have my fiancee hand print it.
Thanks again for your quick response.

Question:
Once my fiancee arrives in the USA and we are married, will she be able to travel to Europe and Mexico?
Or does she need to wait till she gets her green card?
Two separate issues. In order to leave the US and re-enter, she will need advanced parole or a green card regardless of country. Entering Europe, Mexico and Canada without a green card will be done the same as any Chinese Citizen, so for the most part, she would need a visa. (if not al) With a green card, she would not need a visa for those countries.
I repeat though, that to re-enter the USA, she must have either AP or the Green Card.
Thanks again for all your help. I did a little research on what you mentioned about "advance parole".
Maybe we should just travel in the US only for the next couple of years.
I am happy to find out today when I called DOS that our P3 was sent out on Jan 3rd.
But my fiancee informed me that she had not received it yet. Hope it will arrive in the next day or two.

I forward a copy of the I-129F to my fiancee in China but just realized that I did not send the passport photo that was on my G-325.
I had gotten the picture from Costco and it came with two photos. I used one on the G-325 and the other
I used to get a visa to go to China.
What should I do?
Nothing.
Glad to hear that. Thanks.

Glad to find other people to talk to waiting like me, yes she just got her P-3 yesterday, how do you put the timeline at the bottom of your posts? good luck to everyone waiting I called NVC once about 2 weeks ago and yes she was not very nice. Was told to wait another 2 months, glad it did not take that long.
It is rough seeing people from other countries that were approved after me already passed interviews, but it will be worth the wait.
Hi everyone! Wow I am glad to hear a May Filer who already gotten their P3. I was expecting my fiancee to receive it in late January but now I am hoping with some luck to see our P3 in early January. Even though it is only a couple of week difference from my previous expectation, as you all know, this wait is almost unbearable so anything that shortens this wait is more than welcomed.
We, going thru the Guangzhou, have to wait the longest. Many other people who filed at the same times as us but for their fiancee in other countries have mostly gotten their interview dates or are already together with their SO.
No use in whining, waiting is what me must do and the only thing we can do.
Hope to see more people receiving their P3!

Hello Everyone,,, as of 8 pm, yesterday 10-24-07, me and Mercy are approved. Didn't get an email but looked on USCIS website and the notice was there, stating 10-24-07, they mail our 797. Best wishes to the rest that are waiting.Hope you all will get good news soon
Jim and Mercy
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
WOW, 170 days till NOA2.

This is how the US government treat their citizens who are petitioning legal immigrants to the US.
At this point, I am sick and tired of all the waiting.
Seems like illegal immigration is the way to go. If you fail once, they will deport you back to your country and then you can try again. Try until you succeed. At least with illegals, they are in control unlike all of us, we at at the whim of these idiotic employees at USCIS.

I just called NVC, my petition was received on Oct 15 and was sent to embassy today Oct 17. I was so happy I forgot to ask for case #. But she said I will get a notification letter soon. I was approved on Sept 7.
Teddy bear: U have same approval date, did you call to find out? Good luck to U!
I received NVC letter today. Letter dated Oct 18 and was mailed on Oct 19. Good luck to everyone else waiting!
Our letter was also dated October 18 and mailed October 19. NOA-2 was October 1.
What the #$@%^!%!!!!
Appoved cases in Sept are still sitting in CSC while Oct approvals are reaching NVC and leaving for embassies.

"I hope you hear from them soon! "
Thanks for your kind words!
It is just over a month now since my NOA2 and from various posts from others, it seems to take approx. 5 weeks for CSC to forward the approved application to NVC. I just hope that doesn't change and not become 6 weeks, or 7 or 8 or 9. It seems things can change all of a sudden without any warning.

Sent email to NVC on 10/9/07 inquiring if NVC received approved I-129F (NOA2 on 9/18/07).
Today received email from NVC - This is their reply email:
Dear Sir/Madam,
Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).
Your inquiry indicates that the approved petition has been forwarded to the National Visa Center (NVC) for processing. The NVC has not yet received this petition from CIS (Citizenship and Immigration Services).
Regards,

One more approval tonight. I got a 9:15pm email saying my I129F was approved on Sept 19. NOA2 135 days from filing date.
Jlogajan: Congratulations!
It seems that the approval emails are all sent out in the evening time. I received mine at midnight.
So for those who are still waiting for their NOA2. Maybe to save yourself from all the frustration and stress of checking your email and USCIS website countless times throughout the day (which was what I was doing and probably many other too), you should check it at the end of each day. Probably easier said than done. haha
Today is a great day, truckloads of approvals. More to come for sure!!!

I just received email that my application has been APPROVED.
Finally!!! My application was approved and I know there might be some people who filed earlier than myself but have not received approval yet. Sorry if I may have cut in line. But I am ecstatic now.
I am sure yours are also around the corner. I didn't get one touch since NOA1 and all of a sudden, I received NOA2 approval email unexpectingly.

Thanks for the info. I actually found your other posts that stated K1 Visa does not requires immunization shots.
I have tried to register with Candle for Love for the last month. After receving the email to validate which I did, I still can not log onto the website. Someone mentioned that the administrator will approve your registration after a short time. But after a month wait, I received nothing so I gave up.
