    Morning/Afternoon Yardies!

    Just on here real quick to let you all know the good news. No work until Monday so I'll be catching up next week (home computer's dead from a virus). Anyway, HE IS HOME WITH ME! The visa was ready for pick up the following Wednesday & we came in to Miami last night & the immigration process was pretty smooth. We only waited maybe 20-30 minutes & they were then calling us up & giving us the rundown of having to get married within 90 days. Now, a wedding to plan. We got in late last night & he's in awe of his surroundings....said yesterday was too much excitement for one day. Well, I'll fill you all in on Monday & I'm happy to be home & so is he. Have a great Friday & weekend everyone! :thumbs:

    Total rant: How are you going to receive a request from YOUR LEGAL DEPARTMENT that we were served with a subpoena and give this response???????????

    Is this through the FOIA (Freedom of Information Act).

    Can you provide a copy of the letter so we can determine if these are valid requests?

    BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODCLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT Idiot! If it isn't a valid request - would your LEGAL department be asking you for the information?

    happy friday!

    i gotta get some work done today..

    Me too. I took 1 breakfast breaks and 2-3 hour lunch breaks all week :unsure:

    You on a semi vacation at work or something.

    So my boss is out sick today and she wants a status on our projects....what do I say...I'm working towards getting another heart on VJ.

    I don't have any projects...oh boy...maybe she is gearing the email toward my co-workers...I never know what they are working on...and quite frankly don't care to ask.

    All kidding aside, you guys think the hard part was the filing and waiting. I promise you these women on here will be of more value to you after he gets here then you ever thought possible.

    Just cause you don't read it in public, does not mean there isn't some well needed advice being given every single day on here. Always remember you are not alone no matter what you are going through. Someone has been there done that and survived.

    It's called pure boredom at work most of the time. Sad thing is, I don't post near as much as I used to. I could probably blow up this board if I had continued at that pace.

    Okay, so I just sent a leave request to my boss to take next week off cause my son will be out of school and she replied why don't you bring him in and have him play games or something on my computer since I'll be on leave...I said sureeeeeeeee

    That's awesome! How much vacation do you get/year? This year mine "jumped" from 2 weeks to 3 weeks... but even that 3 weeks is hard to stretch.

    i'm gonna try and get a heart now. how many posts to get one?

    If you click on the pictures of the blue squares or hearts, it takes you to the page that tells you how many posts to get to each status. That was a site update they did a few months ago.

    I can't even tell you how much I laughed at this. But I had to do it all internally so they don't hear me in the office next door. This is TOO funny.

    Mi rass......I knew it went too smooth.....Embassy just called Jr and asked him why he didn't go to the interview on June 3. Poor kid..... he was telling them saying I was there - I went...they told him they would send a letter out by postal mail in 3 months time. :blink: Um what??? I don't think so...... :angry:

    WAH..dat no mek sense..didn't an adult go with him? didn't they approve the visa? how they takin it back? and 3mths?

    That's what I said!! Yes - A's aunt went with him. We wrote this big letter giving her permission to take him as his guardian blah, blah. Paid the DHL fee, got the slip and left the passport. The emails are already fired off - 202# has nothing other than the June 3 date for interview.

    Tanya, don't sleep on this. I know someone else that happened to, but it was quickly resloved, they said they were missing the original birthcertificate and a police certificate which you do not need for a 5-year-old child...just pure bs. They didn't tell her that they took the visa back, they just told her that the visa could not be issued until they got the documents even though all was well at the interview.

    bwoy..wah mek u know everybody wah something misfortunate happen to...yuh need a friends redo..dash wey dem ppl dere..crosses..renew yuhself !
