Hi. .you mentioned about receiving Packet 3 and Packet 4. I have seen Packet 4 because my cousin went thru the same process , shes now in Las Vegas. Packet 4 is the one the the beneficiary will receive as guide for her incoming interview. What about Packet 3? To whom is it addressed and what are its contents?

Unfortunately yes. It was a bit frustrating because we saw the timelines here and most couples' petition took only 3 to 5 days to reach NVC from the USCIS. But it is there now and progressing. We hope to get our case number soon and information that it has been sent to Manila. A lot of timelines here show that after one day from receipt the NVC has sent the petition to the beneficiary's counrty. We both hope well have the same luck

We need some clarifications and hope those who have already been interviewed or waiting for the interview can help.

Our petition was received by the USCIS March 23, approved in June 5 and reveived by NVC June 22. After processing in the NVC petition will be forwarded to Manila where the beneficiary is. . . our question is , when the petition leaves the NVC, will it already have the new case number? Or is it the US Embassy in Manila which will assign the case number? Thank you very much

I just got my NOA 2 in the mail and NVC letter stating that they received my packet and will now be forwarded to Sydney consulate. Both of these letters showed up at the same day because they didn't bother mailing out an NOA2 until I called to ask what the dealio!

A question for you. Our K1 was received March 23, Approved June 5, Received by NVC June 22. My question is. . when they will forward it to Manila, where beneficiary is , does the petition already has a new case number? Or is it the Manila Embassy that will assign the new case number when it will receive the petition? What about your case? Do you laready have your case number now that your petition has been forwarded to Sydney? Thank you very much

We have a question about the NVC process. Our petition was approved June 5 and was received by the NVC only this week, June 22. When will the petitioner and beneficiary get their case number for interview purposes? Is it the NVC that will give such case number or the consulate where the beneficiary is. We are a bit confused because we thought its the NVC that assigns the case number but we have a couple friend who said that their petition (k-1) didnt go thru the NVC and in fact is already on its way to the US embassy in Manila, Philippines where his fiancee is, but he cant also give us his MNL case number because he didnt receive one so my understanding is that their case is still at the NVC. Isnt it that all applications for a visa to enter the USA, ( save probably for tourist visas - i am not sure ) whether an immigrant visa or non-immigrant visa goes thru the NVC?

Our I-129F (K1) was received March 15 by USCIS Texas from Florida and was forwarded to USCIS California which was received March 23. Same Petition was approved on June 5 and forwarded to the NAtional Visa Center. Now waiting for NVC notice that Petition has been sent to Manila and our MNL case number. Hang in there March filers.

Hi! me and my 3 daughters (K1/K2) just finished our medical June 13 and 14. They took all our passports and visa photos and then they gave back to us our X-ray films and vaccination records. In fact, they finished the processing of my daughters' medical results ahead of mine. I have to wait a few minutes more which even made me worry that there was something wrong with my medical result. But then after 10 minutes my name was called and everything was ok with our medical results. They said that they will be the one to forward the results to USE Manila. Maybe you should try to call SLEC and find out why they didn't take Mylene's daughter's passport.

Hi. I have some questions abut the medical. I dont have my immunization record anymore so how i am going to do about this? For sure, i had my booster for hepatitis and finished with the other immunizations prescribed when growing up ( dpt, tb, etc) Our approved petition is now on its way to the NVC so I want to get prepared with the immunizations since I dont have a record anymore to present to ST. That is his strongest argument for refuting visa fraud. I don't see any issues here.

I believe there is no issue here. If asked about it then just answer truthfully and present later proof of a genuine engagement. If not asked. then no need to divulge anything. Just be truthful. . . thats the only way not to get into trouble.

here are some numbers to use from here on out. first you'll need to work with NVC. after that, the State Department for questions about Embassy specific stuff. there can be other ways of working with your Embassy as well. check with people dealing with your same embassy for more info. good luck!

NQUIRING ABOUT CASE NUMBER:

NVC Info (to find out when your case arrives/leaves there and to get NVC Case number):

Call (603) 334-0700 - press "1" for English then "5" to speak to a rep on the phone. Be ready with USCIS case number, beneficiary name and birthdate. K1 visas are NOT entered into the automatic system. Reps are available 7:30 AM - 12 midnight Eastern time. Call right after they open or right before they close for best results - during the day lines are always busy.

They'll ask for:

And you can get from them the State Department case number:

To get info from the Embassy:

The State Department is on 1 202 663 1225 then press 1,0,0 to talk to someone

They can tell you the status of things as they are entered into the Embassy's computer system. Open 8-5 Eastern time - very friendly and helpful line to call!
