When I called the local social security office, they said "passport card is not acceptable. either passport book or naturalization certificate is acceptable".
However, I sent the mail anyway.
But in addition to the passport card, I included the copies of the passport book and naturalization certificate (along with the letter requesting the change of status if possible).
Then, I recently received the following letter. I think that it looks like it is processed successfully.
Update to this post: today, I received the new SS card successfully.

Okay, bit the bullet. I dropped off at my local SS office my application along with a letter, my passport card and a copy of my naturalization certificate. Let's see what happens..
Good idea. I think I'll try this path. If they decline, I'll visit in person in the future.

When you mail in the application, do you need to include the return envelop with the stamp?

Now I think it depends on the SS office. I called the social security office and asked if I passport card is fine,
and the person said I can not. Either passport book or certificate of naturalization.
Looks like I will wait for the SS office to open as this is not urgent
-
Another way is to apply for passport card. cheaper way and ok to lose it
-
Proper way is to sign it right after you receive it
-
Not joking I think it will depend on the mood of the person who picks up the phone. Mostly I believe it is mail in
-
I think that depends on the state. For MA, I was able to register for voting without updating DMV
-
You can even vote in federal election right after oath
without updating ssa and dmv first
-
I don't see why not.
But for my case, I had to take the photo, and etc.... so I ended up applying a few days later
-
Right after receiving the naturalization certificate, I applied for the passport right away (expedited)

Thank you for the information, do you mean you waited five days for the letter to show up in the online document? And is ur ceremony recent?
After I got the notification for the oath ceremony letter, I waited two days for the PDF document.
My ceremony was Nov, 2020.

Hi, for my case, it took additional two days before the Oath PDF letter to show up.

it should have been incredibly frustrating ...

If Vital records are newly issued, AP will be triggered.
I think it's little bit different in Korea. We don't receive birth certificates, marriage certificates, etc in paper (we don't receive them in paper unless we ask them, as everything is electronically processed).
Usually, people print these just before submitting N400, I-130, etc, and US consulate knows this.
I think I should ask in Korean forum. Thanks anyways

What documents?
Such as marriage certificate, birth certificate, and etc

Do the submitted documents need to be very new?
I'm filling out the application for my parents, and do the documents need to be very new?
(less than 6 months old? less than 1 year?)
Thanks

Not the major critical factor.
You can correct it at the interview with the supporting documentation.

It is possible. Maybe they will postpone it a few months later?
