  1. The VO will basically try to establish the relationship between you and your petitioner. Don't expect much. They might request for pictures of you two together and also when the petitioner travelled to the United States.
  2. Hello VJ I recently had my F1 interview and was approved in Lagos Nigeria . While at the consulate. I dropped my daughters birth certificate and the officer asked if she was accompanying me, I told him not now but later in the future so he told me he would add her as a follow to join. Fasforward to this morning, out of boredom I decide to check NVC to see if anything had changed and to my biggest surprise I saw her name under mine with a status drop down beside it that says follow to join or accompany. I decided to Google "follow to join" and I saw it was a way for family preference to bring in their spouse or child to the US. Anyways my question is how do I go about this process, when can I bring her in and what is the wait period?
  3. Mine has been issued too 😁, I'm sure it will be ready for pick up by Wednesday. Congrats to you and your hubby, we chatted while waiting for the interview.
  4. So I was in the consulate today for my F1 visa and I'm glad the journey of 11years is finally over and visa was approved. While I was waiting for my interview I read the visa fees that was pasted on the wall, and K1 was clearly under the Non Immigrant Visa. I hope the government will work on meeting US security requirement in record time. Goodluck to everyone.
  5. Please I need your advise, I just found this forum even if I so much wished I did several years ago because I have been all alone on this journey. Anyways my PD became current last year after waiting over 7 years. Submitted all required documents and finally got an IL for next week in LAGOS NIGERIA(Just a day before the travel ban 😕) . After my PD became current last year God blessed me with a beautiful daughter by my gf. I know it doesn't say I can't have kids but I want to know the best way to answer the question if it comes up because she was about a month old when I submitted my Ds260 and I included her in the form. My category is F1 (unmarried son of a US).
  6. I have read so many post on this thread and I am a bit confused. According to the official proclamation, it takes effect Feb 21st 12:01am EST, but I keep seeing people here saying Feb 22nd. My question is will the embassy in Lagos issue visa on the 21st of February. Please I need clarification. I have been waiting since 2011 for my F1 family visa and it all comes to these. 😢😢
  7. Feb 21st 12:00 EST time is Feb 21st 6am in Nigeria. Are you saying when the consulate opens at 8:00am, they will disregard the proclamation?
  8. The proclamation say Feb 21st why are you saying Feb 22nd?
