  1. Dear all March filers what do you think if we can talk about a process after NOA-2 here- I mean our thoughts, feelings, experience  The end of our journey is coming

Just a side note about package 3 coming from the Consulate. There are great resources on this website to prepare us for what is coming. The only thing I didn't know was that they change your file/case number once you reach the consulate. I jumped the gun and faxed my package 3 checklist back (from the email the Consulate sent) before looking at the actual hard copy from the mail. I put the wrong case number because I didn't know they changed it. I'm not worried about it but it means faxing them again tomorrow to make sure they get everything ok.

As for the NVC, it seemed that my case took about 2 weeks to get to the NVC or so but then it took a while before the consulate received my case - very nerve wracking - it felt like forever!!!! It is so frustrating to have to wait and wait but one comforting thought is that the process will continue whether we call them or not. It also pays to have the DS-230 Part 1 filled out ready to fax the Consulate once you get word that they have your package. That way, they can continue processing your case.

Congrats to those who just received their NOA2s! YAY!

  2. Hi!Finally my fiance got the approval notice on june 22,2007. I am thinking that we've been approved since june 6,2007 when i got the last touch.

Only today we found out that you can check if NVC recieved your case via NVC automated voice response number (603) 334-0700!!! Before we called and waited for operator and it took ages :( .. anyway our case still wasn't recieved in NVC

Unless I was doing something wrong (and that is entirely possible), I kept getting that response too when I used the automated system. I called the NVC and used the automated one day and then called right back to try to find out the email address thinking that would get me results faster. I actually got through that second time and talked to a person who told me that the package was sent already to the consulate. The automated system didn't seem to give me the right info. I don't really know but that was my experience anyway. I think you should try to talk to an actual person if you can.

  3. Guys how can we check that NVC got our case? I presume we have to call them on (603 334-0700) and tell our case number WACXXXXXXXXXX? and how found out that they send our case to consulate and when consulate recieved a case? Sorry for stupid questions? I know many people already asked about that, but can't find a topic about that :( Willl NVC send E-mail saying that they send our case to Almaty Consulate here in Kazakhstan or what? Thank you!

I don't know if anyone answered your questions yet but this is what I did. I received an email from the UCSIS when we got the NOA2 approval so I thought I'd keep getting emails. Not so. I eventually tried calling the NVC (as the K-1 timeline on this website suggests) and found it very difficult to get through. I eventually did get through, they asked for the case number and some verifying facts about my US fiance etc. They then told me our package was already on its way to the consulate. The lady on the phone was very nice but I was so excited that I didn't think to ask her when they got it first. My fiance eventually got something from the NVC in the mail but I had already called by that time.

As for the consulate, I got my hands on the email address for mine and have used it for various questions. I just emailed them today and they emailed back within an hour saying they received our package and have sent package 3 in the mail already. They also attached package 3 to the email (though I've already seen what's coming thanks to this website - YAY for VJ!!). I did email them a couple of days ago and they said they hadn't received it yet so it seems like they give information pretty willingly. I would definitely email or call them if and when you get to that stage.

    hope that helps!

This website is so very helpful! Check out the timelines section as well as the consulate section if you haven't already.

    Best of luck to you!
