Hello together.
My husband is a contractor for the US military. We just started our ROC.
If he would get transfered back to Germany, what would happen to our (my daughters and my) ROC ?!
Would we need to apply for a re-entry permit ?

Hello together.
I came to the US with a CR-1 visa. My daughters and my greencards are about to expire on 01/30/23.
We are about to get ready for the removal of conditions, since our 90 days are starting soon.
I read that it can takes years for approval.
Our driver licenses are about to expire on 01/30/23 also.
I understand that I'll get an extension letter.
Am I able to get a new driver's license with this letter ? What about my daughter, is she getting also a extension letter (even she is only on my file ?)
Thank you.

When this came up for a K visa at a different consulate than yours, I was told the following in an email from the Immigrant Visa Unit:
So at minimum I would expect the medical fee and the $325 visa application fee to have to be paid again. Are you able to travel to the US even temporarily before February? In a situation where the visa has been issued, I personally would first exhaust all options to enter the US before the visa expires.
Ok thank you.
Well I have a daughter who is in her graduating year right now, I can't take her out of school without permission from them.
And If I change flights temporarily it gets so expensive, that im definitely cheaper if I just pay the 1000$ fees again.
The embassy told me this, but ill ask them to tell me what fees I would have to pay again ....
Once received, we will open the package and after review let you know what documentation, if any, needs to be renewed. You may have to pay the fees again.

Hello together,
January 2020 we started with our process. We expected to have a waiting time of minimum 12 months. In August 2020 we had our visa. So pretty fast.
The visa is going to expire February 24th.
We were planning on activating the greencard on February 11th with a short trip to the USA and have our move to the US in July 2021, after our daughter graduated here.
Now covid is still a thing and our government talks about that we might not be allowed to leave the country in February.
If that would be the case, the US embassy already told us that we could sent the passports back to the embassy and issue a new visa.
Does anyone know how much the fees are to issue a new visa ?

Hi everyone! Just curious, for those of you who got their cases transferred to the embassy, how long does it typically take between the "your case was transferred, embassy agreed to expedite" email and the interview letter?
11 Days between "expedite" and interview letter.
The interview was 10 days after the interview letter.

They didnt ask for ds5540 he just asked me what I plan to do for work there
I didn't need the ds5540 either.
He asked me also, if I'm planing on working and what I want to do.
They wanted to see my birth certificate, marriage certificate, passport and pictures.

Thanks for the insight! Did you get a faster process due to military/ urgent timeline etc.? We have no "special reason" to have a faster process, I am trying to understand what the "usual" time is to get that response. I think a month and a half seems to be average? Thanks again!
No, no faster process.

We just received our interview date for Sept 11. We're trying to scramble and get a medical appt now.
I'm just a bit confused because on the U.S Consulate Frankfurt page it states what documents are required to bring to the interview.
Yet, on the email it states differently? They have a few different requirements of what to bring. I had written them an email weeks ago regarding this, and they told me to bring whats on the website. So now I have to write them back and confirm again.I had my interview on Tuesday and all they wanted from me was
Birth certificate in original
Married certificate original
Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis in original
And the pick up/delivery letter.

What is his current income today?
Around the same as last year. It's always between 90.000-110.000$

Possibly yes. The 1040 without the 1099 or w2 is pretty meaningless. Tax return transcripts would be better.
Ok thanks. We submitted now everything together again. Hope they will accept it this time.

We submitted the 9 pages of tax return. Because IRS wont let him verify his phone.
But we forgot to submit the w2 and 1099
We submitted that today. Plus we submitted pay stubs from the last 6 months (we only had 3 months at the beginning)
Could that be the reason?

Hello,
We got the notification that my husband does not meet the minimum income requirement for a sponsor.
2019 he had an income from around 100.000 us$
How is it possible that this is not enough? When we put in our informations it said he needs to make 49.500 us$
My daughter (his stepdaughter) and myself are going to immigrate.

Hello everyone,
My daughter and I submitted everything on May 16th.
My daughters case got DQ on May 21th.
My case is still on submitted.
I'm getting nervous about this situation. Our I-130's got approved at the same time.
Anyhow, my question is, since she got DQ, how long should I wait before I make an medical appointment ?
I'm afraid that she will get an interview appointment and we wont be able to have the medical before.

Hello together.
I filled for ROC in November 2022.
Under my application i have my daughter as a dependent.
We received an appointment for Biometrics for my minor daughter, but nothing for me yet.
Is that usual that we get two different appointments, especially since its a 4 hour drive.
