  1. If you have the time, and pay attention to detail this site will help you 100%. If you have extra money to spend get an attorney. I did it myself, and saved the money I would have paid the attorney to take another trip to see my Fiancee in the Phils.

If you have confidence do it yourself just check your package 10x before you send it out to avoid mistakes and make a duplicate of all items sent.

    Good Luck

  2. I believe you could get medical benefits depending on your State gov. I believe definately you have to be here for a mimum of 5 years to get any food stamps or welfare benefits. Be careful applying for federal benefits when you have applications

pending in immigration. Your husband signed affidavid of support, and based on that they could think your family could become a public charge.

Thats a tough situation. Think this out, and Good Luck.

  3. My personal opinion is this your wife of course should know where you stand on the issue. I would love to buy a nice up scale condo in the Phils as my rertirement home now and pay it off with the american dollar then spend at least 4-6 months out of the year there when i retire of course I have another 30 yrs but its a pretty good investment now. Especially with the bad US economy.

  4. No No and No again didn't we already fight this war and had alot of blood shed over this. Thats what makes the US a world power today all of the states united I know we have are differences politacally and some states are doing better than others in this recession but to break away from the union. Governors around the country who even implies this ideas shoud be voted out of office.

  5. I hear people saying why go to another country to find someone to marry? The fact is most people who find a spouse outside the states have had a bad experience in previous relationships here. However it is very risky going to a foreign country thinking that you will find a spouse that will submit to your every need because of gratitude of just being here in the US. One would think you would be even more careful if exploring this avenue. Not to know other family members, or any other contact information is just stupid as far as I am concerned. If closure is what one would want to move on then I suggest a trip to the Phils with a driver, and body guard to find Mom, Dad and find answers.

Me personally I went with fiancee to get the passport, I had a copy of her Birth Certificate with mom, and Dads name. I went to get the NBI. I met friends, Family, all coworkers, including 3 trips to the phils. I could have easily back traced with all the info I had from my wife. I suggest if there is a next time you do everything possible, and be smarter than this time.

  6. Sorry this happend to you. A few things going forward one should do if they meet a fiancee in the Phils. 1st thing meet all family members mom, dad uncles, aunts know were they live, and general info names addresses phone numbers etc maybe have a family outing. This gives you the opportunity to meet family members to understand what kind of family you are marrying into see childhood pictures and just get a feel for your future family. Secondly Fly back with your fiancee if at all possible, or meet at the port of entry get there early, and know where the exit point is for customs. When done properly finding your soulmate from the Phils can be very joyous. Good Luck to all.

  7. It is always recommended that you file Before the I 94 ends however I filed 10 months after my wifes I-94 expired. Its one of those things that I wanted to travel and have my wife enjoy being here and not have to worry about family asking her when she was going to start working etc. etc. I was just approved for AOS 3/2/2009 with no problems

You should be able to get a waiver for vaccinations because your pregnant Let the certified Sergeon General Doctor handle that part.

  8. My words of advice to all going for interviews make sure you have copies of all your package you sent to the USCIS while our interview went well some other couples seem to have had some issues the cubicals are so close together you can hear what is going on next to you.

Relax, make eye contact, and be yourself. Maybe roleplay with your spouse before you go tell the truth and only answer the questions they ask. It seemed as people started telling more than what was asked it opened up more questions by the interviewer.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL AND PLEASE POST YOUR EXPERIENCE.

  9. 3/2/2009 We traveled 3 hours in a severe snow storm to get to our interview not knowing if the would be open. Once we arrived there was no on street parking because of the snow storm we had to park across the street and pay $40.00 we had our 2 month old daughter with us. we entered the building went through security check point and proceeded to rm e160 to check in we presented our appointment letter for interview and they ask for birth certificate for our daughter and asked were there any arrest reports to submit.

After that we proceeded to room E170 to wait for our interview our appointment was at 10am and we arrived at 9:15am my wife started bottle feeding are daughter and about 5 min into it a gentleman called our name to proceed down the hall to his interview cubical its this big long hallway we near the end.

After we entered his cubical he smiled and said he didn't mean to interupt breakfast for the baby my wife continued to feed as he poured over our file

He swore is both in under oath. He asked me do I certify that the baby was my child? I said yes of course with a smile. He ask how did you met? Ask us for our Id's, and ask me was I married to my ex-wife and found the divorce decree in the file he had.

He asked my wife was she a terriorist and my wife said no then he ask do you still say no to all the questions asked when you submitted on the I-485 he started asking for example Are you a member of the communist party etc, My wife said no.

He asked me for our marrage certificate and I told him he should have it because I submitted the original and when he couldn't find it I provided him with photo copy that I sent with the original package. Photo copy your whole package when you apply for anything because they can misplace your documents.

I was waiting for him to ask for the medical I-693 but he left the cubical and when he came back he said do you have the updated medical records I said yes the enveloped was sealed he opened it verified everything and said you are approved. Wait out in the waiting are for you approval letter. 30 min later someone called my wifes name and presented her with the approval letter and said you should recieve your green card in about 2 weeks :kicking: :kicking: :kicking: They didn't ask me for lease, work letter bank statements,or Tax records, he didn't even ask for photos wow but its better to be over prepared than under prepared I am assuming that the Baby was proof enough.:dance::dance:

  10. There is something that we could be missing here like has he ever married abroad before? If so what was the outcome? Does he have any health problems? Or if you claimed you wanted to have children some of those thing are and indicator to them, but I agree he should be there if there is a second interview. What did the person at window ask you before you talked to the interviewer?
