Are you looking for the Documents issued by Mexico; if so, birth certificates and other documents are now available online. Let me know so I can send you the links.

Guys on here are right that the waiting for interview nowadays is 1 year pretty much exactly.  We submitted our NVC application in Jan 2019 and got a notice for our interview Jan 3, 2020 after 12 months and my husband's interview will be 2/12/20.  Just be patient.  We were impatient too, but we can't do anything about it.  Just try to find fun time together with your husband.  go hike, out of town, etc hehe... good luck...   He is going to CDJ too.  Monday will be Medical in the morning and biometrics in the afternoon.  Tuesday will be police certificate.  Wed at 745am is his interview at Ciudad Juarez and visa/passport will be delivered in the same location too, so we could hopefully get it the next day or Fri or even Sat.  If everything goes well, he will be flying back home to San Jose Sunday that week.  So we planned on 1 week and hopefully it works.

    Hello there

I became a US citizen 3 years ago and when I filed I changed my name. Since I am also a mexican citizen I change my name to only have my father's last name.  I need to have a copy of the document where I legally changed that. does anybody know how can I get a copy for that and where?. I have that document not very easy to get because is in Mexico and I need it here with me in North Carolina. Thank you very much for your help!

Hi! My husband and I got our case complete with NVC in May of 2019. We are still waiting to get the interview in Juarez. I was wondering who has recently went through this and how long it took you to get the interview? I understand it’s a long wait, but is it over a year?

I like to use a tabbed plastic portfolio.  Let the applicant organize it anyway they are comfortable with.

Sorry if it is a silly question but I would like to read people experience on how they have prepared the folder for the interview . My mom's lawyer only gave her 2 yellow envelopes and in one envelope there is the paperwork (DS-260, interview letter , birth certificates,  tax returns, marriage certificate, check stubs, etc )    and I want to organize more detailed for she would not be sorting through in front of the officer.
    anybody have organized their folder?

also her interview is Feb 12 in Juarez. people have been saying the officers are requesting the tax transcripts and original paperwork such as birth certificates and copies is that true.
my husband went in 2018 for interview but i know now things have changed slightly.

My husband just interviewed on the 21st of January, and I had his packet totally organized with all originals with the copies after it, tax transcripts, everything the lawyer could think of, and everything I could add after reviewing lots of these forums. The officer focused on an arrest from 2002 (which we brought all the paperwork on, the court record and the police record) and questioned my husband about his son who we filed for a visa for in 2016. There were other people that interviewed the week after that didn't even have an original birth certificate and were approved that day and received their visa by that Friday. My husband has been there 21 days so far just waiting on someone there to actually pick up his case and review the additional documents he sent in. It seems very hit and miss and depends on who interviews you.
