He has been eligible all along because he was born in Kuwait.

No, it does not automatically roll over. Apart from anything else it requires a photo less than 6 months old, plus listing of family, which can change year to year (marriage/divorce/birth/death).

    Hi Susie,

Can you share a link? Does it have any requirements? Does one have to have education, spouse English etc requirements or anyone can apply regardless of there english, financial capabilities etc. I know someone but there English might be that good... or either their spouse wouldn't be able to speak English well enough.

He's eligible because he meets the FAM's definition of native of Kuwait; 9 FAM 502.6-3 paragraph b(3): "Native: Native means a person born in a DV program country. An individual may be able to participate in the DV program because of specific family ties or personal situations by "charging" to another country. See 9 FAM 502.6-4 paragraph a(2) for additional information on chargeability."

    Thank you HRQx.

I was confused as Pakistan is excluded & he had held Pakistani Passport. Since he was an Australian citizen I thought he might be eligible for it now.

Sorry, I ma not aware of this Dv Lottery thing.

What is a person is not selected, does he need to apply again next year or it automatically reaches the next haul ?

  3. Hi All,

Sorry I just wanted to confirm the eligibility of DV Lottery.

My brother in law was born in Kuwait & held Pakistani Nationality. Recently, last year he became an Australian Citizen.

He's Mechanical Engineer from Australia & had been working professionally for about 5 years.

Is he eligible for DV Lottery ?

  7. Hi Guys,

    I received this email.

So do I just sit, wait & watch ?  Any clue how long usually it would take for an interview?

    Hey Mate.

What was your experience? Did they requested any further documents?

Bounces back and fore, impossible to say people can guess but that is all they are doing. Sounds like you are close.

You have got no idea, how much i felt relieved from your comment.

I was very much depressed & was expecting my call by Oct.

    Thank you man.

  10. Recently, the Visa office is gone in retrogression - January 2019.

I was about to expect an interview request anytime from now on. This has been a shocking news for me.

How often does it change  or revert back to Current? Some are saying it wont change until Oct 2020 while according to some it can revert back to current in next month.

I am new to all this process.... any clue?

They apply for a tourist visa based on their own merit.

Certainly, they will. is it true that they will be only allowed for a month stay ? & each time they have to reapply.

I highly doubt if US grants a month visa. Normally all countries grant for a minimum of 3 - 6 months.

  12. Hi All,

I am nearly done with my process ( Consular - Green card).

I have got parents who I wish to me visiting me every now & then. In order that they dont really get bored sitting alone overseas.

While I was here in Australia, they have got a multiple visit visa with a restriction that they can stay more than 3 months consecutively. In order to maintain visa, they use to exit Australia for a month or 2 as they  are managing properties overseas & returns back after a short while.

Does US also provide any certain visa? I was reading a thread where it said they only allow parents for 1 month only ?

Hello everyone, I have a year of dental school in Sweden left before I become a dentist, and my american girlfriend and I planned to get married and live in USA then.

The problem is that it seems to be a long process before I can practice dentistry there.

First score high on a TOEFL exam then pass NBDE part 1 after that enter a 2 year foreign trained dentist program (which is very hard to get attended to and costs much).

I want to know if there are any foreign trained dentists here on the forum that wants to share how they made it, or if you have another education but had to go through something similar. Any tips is helpful.

Out of curiosity I wonder what people moving to USA work with, are employers interested?

    HI Hejsan,

Did anything worked out so far? hows the overall process ?

Got no Clue man. This is it. Hope it gets accepted this time.

Btw I always suggests everyone not to edt your pictures on phone & upload on internet. Your details such as address & different last names are very much obvious. Take it down you never know who's stalking it.

I filed for green card for my mother, and my mother entered US around mid-september and had her passport stamped with 1-551 valid for one year.

It's been over 4.5 months now but we still haven't received a physical green card or the social security number for her. I tried calling USCIS a couple weeks ago but they couldn't tell my any information. According to USCIS website it's 120 days from the date of entry but we are past that now.

Does anybody know how long USCIS is taking now to ship the cards and social security number?

Also, is there a way to track the green card process?

Are a citizen ? is that on the bases they have got Green Card?

anyone here recently requested for NSW police certificate?

Wondering if fingerprint is required now or not.

    HI Lili,

No you are not required for finger Prints. Just choose "Full Disclosure" Police Check.. The one normally people would acquire for Australian Immigration. Its either 33 or 35. One that says Immigration  Department.
