  1. I sent our application on May 14th, the check was cashed on May 23rd & I still haven't received anything in the mail either. I called USCIS to get the receipt number. They show that the NOA1 was sent on May 25th. From what I understand, the only thing you really need from the NOA1 is the receipt number...I hope that's a little comforting, I know how unnerving it is not to receive mail you are running to the mail box to look for! Good Luck!

  2. I sent our I-129F Packet on 5/14/07 and our check was cashed on 5/23/07, which was more than a week ago & I have yet to receive the NOA. I'm pretty sure I'm just being anxious, but don't know if it's cause for concern. After reviewing other couples' timelines on vj, it seems most received thier NOA before their check was cashed.

Any thoughts? Is there a way to check with USCIS if I don't have a receipt number for our case?

  3. Hi everyone- I'm new at this...thanks for any help/advice in advance!!

I recently filed my I-129F. Our check has been cashed, but we have not received NOA1.

My real question is this: does anyone know if making a job change could have an adverse effect on the decision process? I have been made an offer,by a new company and hesitate to take it if it could result in a delay of processing or raise any red flags with USCIS.

Does anyone have experience with this?

    Thanks, and good luck!
