As title states, isit possible to use websites such as selflend / moneylion and secured credit cards whilst i'm waiting for my AOS marriage interview? Get the ball rolling on building up a credit file and not waste time on it?
To note; ive received my SSN & EAD.

FYI - the "Get My Payment" tool is available on the IRS website, for those who do not have a bank account on file.

Have some patience as it just came out hours ago and is swamped. It did go through for us but took a while.
See on the IRS site with the "get payments" part, you can enter your ITIN number, what's that about?

If an ITIN was used on the 1040, they will not eligible for the advance rebate. She (and you) can still be eligible for the underlying tax credit on the 2020 tax return. So you'll get the full amount, just not early.

"The CARES Act denies the rebate to an eligible individual with a Social Security number if the individual filed a joint return with a spouse who has an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN), or filed a return with a qualifying child who has an ITIN"
I'm not sure what an SSN resident is.
You are not a non-filer. You filed jointly.
Ha oh damn, looks like i filled at the wrong time as i was catching up on her 2018 & 2019 taxes and we applied for an ITIN when i didnt know my SSN was on the way.
So we cant use this in 2021 when we do our 2020 taxes?

Is my wife still eligible for the payment? There's a website now from the IRS https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/economic-impact-payments
Newly SSN residents are illegible even if i use the non filers bit?

Hi there,
So ive filled for my Adjustment of Status application, my wife doesnt earn enough to sponsor me so my friend decided to be my joint sponsor... only he didnt file his 2018 taxes which i thought he gave me in the application when i sent it away...
So i received a Request for more Evidence letter basically outlying they rejected my joint sponsor due to not having his 2018 tax transcript...
He's going to file his 2018 & 2019 taxes on Tuesday, only apparently the Tax transcript for 2018 might take 4 weeks, i have until the 24th Feb to send in more evidence for my application...
Now i guess my question is, can i just get his 2019 tax transcript and send that off with my I-485 joint sponsor form + wage slips / proof of income documents?
Do joint sponsors have to show the past 3 year tax returns or just the current year?
Can i use Credit Building whilst AOS interview pending?

Ive done that before i had a SSN, problem is she has student loans on her credit file, would that affect my credit score as id be linked with her?
