  1. Just a quick question, anyone here have any information or negative experiences concerning body tatoos and the medical review? My Fiance has 3 small tatoos on her finger which she got as a member of a Sorority when in college, will this be any kid of issue? I could not imagine it being an issue, but there has been some negative publicity in the news lately there in PI concerning hazing and she is concerned about it being seen as violent actions. Thanks for any replies.

  2. I just got a touch!!!!!!!! My very 1st one!!! I am sitting here with tears in my eyes!!:dance::dance:

A funny note: over lunch I got a call from someone's political campaign, asking me to donate money to their "grassroots effort" to stop illegal immigration and further secure our borders. I told them that I was in total support of illegal immigration after spending nearly 6 months languishing in the legal process for immigration :wacko: I was just kidding but the lady didn't know what she was getting into if she wanted the support of this K-1 visa petitioner!!

The moment you see that approval notice....

    You Hair will stand!!!

    You will :crying: with happiness

    You will  with excitement

Then you will realise what a great moment it is!!

  3. Now this is what I call exciting!!!!.....I see all the new approvals and I feel as if I just got mine for the 2nd time. Now we can move on to the next phase. Yeah, we will have to wait a bit for USCIS to send it to the NVC and then forward it to the Embassy, but at least there is progress.:dance:

Good luck everyone and lets keep the good news posted as we progress with our Visa Journey!!:D:dance:

  4. Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On September 18, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

I just received email that my application has been APPROVED.:dance::dance:

Finally!!! My application was approved and I know there might be some people who filed earlier than myself but have not received approval yet. Sorry if I may have cut in line. But I am ecstatic now.:dance:

I am sure yours are also around the corner. I didn't get one touch since NOA1 and all of a sudden, I received NOA2 approval email unexpectingly.

Just a little more patience for the rest, yes it is coming along slowly and at a snails pace, but 1 by 1, everyone will get their turn....... Congrats to you ABC1234. Good Luck on your Journey!!!

  5. Another may approval to report for everyone (no not mine yet).... I just checked my lawyers "transparent office" which lists all their active petitions and I see one that was filed 5-3-07 now shows approved as of 9-17-07. My file date was the same so you can imagine the addrenaline rush when I first glanced at it.... <sigh> Oh well, at least I know I should be getting close now. Hopefully that petition was in the same box as mine since it was filed by the same attorney on the same day. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Check your status at the USCIS website. I received approval at the 135 day point. Our timelines are very similar, you should be getting your approval at any time now. Good Luck!!

  6. The length of time for the petition approval and the attitude taken by the USCIS employees is unforgivable, but we as individuals can't change it. The best we can do is be patient and encourage each other. This forum is meant to encourage and get useful information as to the process of completing the Spousal and Fiance Visa.

I think it would be useful and helpful to all of us if we worked on being calm and encouraging. I have been waiting as most of you for a long time to be with my fiance. I have been in love with her since the day I met her in December of 2005. The waiting has been nearly unbearable, but it will all be worth it.

Just think of how much appreciation you will have for each other once you are together. Use this time apart to prepare mentally and physically. One advantage is you will have excellent communication. Good Luck!

  7. Ha ha ha!! I think I have you beat today checking the website! It's so frustrating just waiting for something to happen...especially when nothing does.

Ok my fellow May filers....let me tell you my little experience here. I woke up at 3am on the September 11th, I stopped by the bathroom, then went to the kitchen and got myself a drink of water, I normally sleep thru the night. I decided to checked the computer to see if my Fiance had sent me a text thru yahoo. To my surprise, I had the Cris email notifying me of the approval. It was emailed to me at midnight.

You just might find a nice surprise waiting for you when you wake up, it will come when you least expect it. I was so excited to call her and tell her about it. It was a good day!!! Yours is coming, just hold on tight.

Also, it was a very emotional moment for me, we have gone thru so much together, I have watched her struggle and I have been practically helpless here. It was a moment of tears, but also a moment of great relief. Soon our lives will change, and it will be patience that wins the day. Good luck everyone!!! May Approvals come quickly!

  8. This is borderline torture......Reminds me of the Chinese water torture. Slowly, one at a time. It is enough to drive a person mad. We did receive our approval last week but I feel as if I am still in the same boat, more waiting. Now we wait for it to arrive at the National Visa Center (NVC). Good luck and Congratz on the latest approvals.

Life will move on, time does not stop, just make sure you don't give up!!!

  9. By the way, our VJ estimated approval date was September 16th, our actual approval came in on September 10th. According to the VJ timeline, it took us 135 days and it came in 6 days ahead of VJ timeline schedule. So you can make plans based on this and others. I studied the VJ database and it came in close. Hang in there, all the early May filers are due within the next week.

  10. IS VSC ALIVE?!?!!?!?!?!? :crying:

I think they are taking a 6 month coffee break, along with CSC!

Hang in there guys, just know that the amount of petition filers actually using this website is only a small sample of the true number of petitions filed and processed. I am sure that there are many being processed and approved, it is just not being reflected here on this website. Kind of like a rain storm, it will always be raining, just maybe not over your head, but somewhere it is raining.

Petitions are being processed, you just don't see the progress. Hundreds, maybe even thousands are not even aware of such a website as this, therefore you will not hear of the good news or touches they also receive. Good Luck, your time is near!!

  11. I filed my I-129F and received my NOA-1 in May 07 (see my timeline). The processing dates on the USCIS website have changed so many times in the last 90 days, I decided to call USCIS today and get an update. (I wasn't sure if my petition was outside the USCIS processing times becuse of the constant changes to the timeframe) The rep told me that they are working on I-129F petitions with the date of 02/16/2007. He told me that it will most likely be 3 more months before I hear anything! :( I've already waited 111 days and have not heard anything and there have been no touches to my petition according to the website.

Looks like the 90 - 120 day approval times are a thing of the past. Looks like the 6 month wait is correct. :crying:

    Bundy

By looking at timeline database and my own experience, you can expect that your petition will be approved between 115-135 days from time you mail it. Good luck!

  12. Its been time!!!!! I really wish i could honestly see what the reason for the waiting is..Im sure there has to be a reason but cmon, keep us a little better informed!!!!!!!!

I am going to try to reprogram my brain to accept that I will not see an approval until the end of this month. The operative word is I am going to TRY. I think it will keep me from blowing a gasket. Of course I am still hoping it will be sooner. At the end of this month I will be at 128 days since filing my petition. Hopefully the VJ timeline does not increase.

    Were getting there!. :thumbs::thumbs:

The average CSC approval rate is 120 days from time it is mailed, ours timed out at 135 days. So if you are less than 120 days, figure on waiting a touch longer. Be patient, it will come. Our petition was not the strongest, yet we did not get an RFE, and we received approval. So just hold on a little longer. I did call a few times, but it did not help, just gave me grief and stress because of the lack of care we received from CSC. Good luck

Congrats on all you fellow May filers that have received your approvals, for the rest of you, just hold tight!

  14. We've been approved since 08/31. I found this out this morning by calling USCIS. Supposedly, USCIS mailed me an approval notice on September 4th, 2007. Good luck those that are still waiting!!

    NOA-2 approval letter sent!

Hey Arinola, was there any change in status on your USCIS account, or does it still say "Received and pending"? I have had touches but I am not able to get a status update on my account.

I've tried calling CSC, but they have refused to give me any information lately on my petition.

    By the way.....Congrats!!!! :dance::dance::dance::thumbs:

  15. What is acceptable to answer yes to in the Medical Questionaire that would not trigger an automatic Denial at the Inteview?

we all know that honesty is the best policy.. but if you read what happened to jen and larry its all up to you..

It might be prudent to think about the same issue from a different angle. Aren't the US government using the medical examination as one step in controlling who they let in to their country? Foreign nationals do not have a right to be let into the US. The medical examination is one step in protecting the USC and the US at large. Significant lies (such as the ones you are implying are acceptable) mean that the US authorities do not have all requested information to make an informed decision.

I did declare that I been arrested in an offence relating to alcohol in the medical examination. While I appreciated the potential repurcussions this could have on my case, I felt it was important to be honest - I wouldn't want to feel like I had entered the US under a cloud.

As for the particular case you mention above, the lady in question did tell the truth in the medical examination. She gave the US governement the facts they requested and they made an informed decision.

We have come to the point in our country where many decisions made by it's citizen are judged by the Government and accepted or rejected.

No one is perfect, we all have our faults. Some of us or most of us have used drugs or became intoxicated and acted foolish in our past and yes we still live in this great country. I am not an advocate of big governement and I find it offensive that the goverment forces itself into the decisions of it's citizens in reguards to their choice of companions.

What happened to the ability of the USC to seek happiness? Apparently when it comes to choosing it's companion, we have no choice in the matter! Tell a Man he is not able to marry the woman he loves, what do you suppose will be his attitude, is that in his best interest? A man can be foolish in choosing his compannion, it's his choice, We will never have a perfect society, our country will never have perfect citizens. I say that it's better to let the USC choose his companion and work it out as he sees fit.

Love is not to be dictated by Government, it is not to be touched by government. Just my opinion!

My views may not be compatible to everyone here, but what if it wass your fiance, your spouse or your children that was not allowed here and you knew that they had the best intentions, maybe you would view this from a different perspective. Unfortunately these views are reduced to broken lives and split families, there is nothing a single citizen can do about it, the govt is way to large now and really does not care. Try calling any Service Center and tell me if you will find a compassionate and caring individual.

  16. I'm at 121 days....And the only touch that I got was 7 days after they got my app......

    Still waiting....

    --MIRLA.

Well were comming to the end of the wait hopefully, we are alot further in the process than we were 4 months ago. I hope that either this week or next will be the week of good news. No matter what though we will be with our loved ones. Whether the US goverment sees it fit or whether i move to a third world country, i will be with the one i love.

I am right on the edge of making that decision to move. Living in the Philippines with my wife was actually my 1st choice, but we convinced each other to try the fiance Visa route. Now time has passed, precious time I will never get back, lost memories that I will never have. How much longer will I wait? I am not getting younger and I can't turn the clock back!!

  17. After more than 3 months, I am fully convinced that what anyone hears from a phone operator and reality are not one and the same. They are there to calm us down, discourage us from calling back, and blow smoke up our a**es. The fact is that people from May are getting RFE's and approvals. We are close guys. Hang on and tell your fiances you love them today!!!

I've called enough already, I just want this initial approval process completed so we can actually begin some planning. My life is most definately on hold and they don't have any concern at all. I've given up talking to a human, it's no different than looking at that useless projection they post on their website.

There is a little silver lining however, I did receive a touch today. Good luck!

  18. I had an interesting conversation with an employee from CSC today, she informed me that I had called 4 times in the past month and that these calls are causing a delay in the processing of our case.

For anyone here that is experienced with the internal processes of the Service Centers, is she accurate in her statement?

If so, then I would most certainly quit calling, but what a cruel wait to treat their customers. This is an important matter to us and apparently they don't take it seriously. It's our lives and the life of our families they hold in their hands.

    Ken & Marife

  19. I called CSC today and the lady I speak to gave me some interesting information. She informed me that I had 4 calls recorded, that I called too often and that this will delay our petition. Is this true? I am ambitious, I am determined to see this to the end, surely she is joking!

Also, she was not willing to give me an update as to the status of our petition. Sounds like they are trying to discourage calls.

  20. I find this whole ordeal so wrong. When I joined the Military, U.S. Navy, I had many friends that were asked a few questions concerning the use of drugs. As a teenager, many did try Marijuana and admitted it. They were given a waiver and then issued the highest clearance available. They were given access to the most sensitive information our government and military had. To this day they are not allowed to visit countries such as Russia or China.

Now can someone tell me where the justification is? If they can be granted a waiver and be given access to such sensitive areas of our country, surely a couple that is in love, with no intended malice, should be able to fullfil their dreams and live their life in happiness. Otherswise the American dream is dead!!

I know it's not helpful, just voicing my opinion.

  21. :help::help: My finacee was denied her visa today. At her medical they asked about drug use and she said she took some kind of drug 4 years ago to get thu a rough time in her life and she was denied her visa because of it. Any thing I can do to fix this and get her to us? I have never felt so bad in my life, all my hopes and dreams are gone.

Hi Larry, I felt heart broken when I read you post. I have been anticipating this interview with a certain excitement because I expect Jenn and Emma to develop a close friendship while here in the U.S.

Nothing is lost, only your options have changed. You actually have 2 choices to make and they will be tough for you, they will sure enough change your life. Either move there with her or Support her and visit her on a regular basis. I hope you can come to a quick decision and not lose hope. This girl needs you and I know you love her so good luck and don't let go.
