  1. Here is my medical experience. I went to Dr, Randall Lee in Scarborough. There was only one person

before us. We waited for 1h before we got it, he took about 10 minutes for each, my son and I to examine us.

I was glad he was able to examine us, and we did not have to take our clothing off.

I had to go down for blood work and chest x-ray in total I spend about 2h and 30 minutes.

No pictures were needed they took pictures of us .

  2. To SPEAR YOU THE RFE on Marriage Certificate that will put you back 2 months.

I got an RFE for the marriage licence/certificate from Pennsylvania . I am doing CR1 Visa, we got married in Pennsylvania in a backyard wedding ceremony in 2019 . I had to take an extra trip to Pennsylvania to be at the court house with my sweetheart and apply for the marriage licence . This marriage licence is good for 60 days . So the pastor that married us, signed the marriage licence/certificate  and sent it off to the court house. We kept our portion of the licence/certificate. We sent to USCIS the photocopy of the official marriage licence/certificate. I have read in other posts on here that certain states have the licence and the certificate on 2 separate pieces of paper but other states have it in one . So if you want to avoid the RFE on your marriage  licence/certificate is better you send a certify copy along with the official marriage licence/certificate. Or make sure the marriage licence/ certificate that you send says that it was recorded at the court house and it says the volume and page where it was recorded with the date that it was recorded and a  signature. Some states do not have this information on the original marriage licence/certificate. And only on a certified copy this information appears VERY STRANGE  . I wish I knew this ! Hope I spear you the 2 months extra wait !!!

Did you send them the original copy? They only care about the certified copy. The original they give you right after your marriage is generally just meant for the couple to frame or keep as a memory.

Good thing that you two figured it out and this is definietly useful information. Good luck with the rest of your journey!

No we only sent copies for everything, oh yeah ? I did not know they only care about the certified copy??? wish that was mentioned somewhere , we have rapidvisa helping us and even they missed it  after 3 people looking over our case to make sure we are sending the right thing ,so NOT a lot of people know about this . It's a very small thing but very important and you could be put back 2 months or more for it .  Thank you !!!!

  3. Just a note to those immigrating with children that your child's I-130 will be approved first ,every case is looked at as individual. Your could take up to 2 months after your child to be approved as they do background checks on you . I would say wait till you are approved to start the NVC and send all cases together , then you need to call NVC or the consulate where your interview will take place to get you on the same date with your child . If you dont you will end up with different interview date then your child. At NVC again your child will be approved first and therefor could end up with an earlier interview date . So call NVC once both cases are sent and ask them to link them and have same interview date .

  4. Hi Feeling Young 66, I read your review of the Montreal consulate . I have a question . Was the same divorce decree that was rejected at the interview approved/accepted  at the USCIS stage ?

Yes I understand your concern and sorry that you had to go through this experience . But glad they allowed you to get the right divorce decree and then approve you, imagine if you had to do the whole process all over again !!!! So the difference in the new divorce decree is that it's certified ? I want to make sure I have the right one. I only have one divorce certificate, at the top right it says form 36B it has a seal on the top left a raised white seal and also a red one over it and the words SEAL in black , at the bottom right the signature of the clerk of the court with a stamp of his name . Does this look like your certified one you got ? Thank you for sharing with us .

Upon returning to Vancouver from Montreal, my fiance (now wife) went directly from the airport to the courthouse in New Westminster and obtained her actual Certificate of Divorce, with a raised seal and the court registrar's signature. She actually got them to supply her with two of them. They can issue as many as you want, but they are 40 bucks apiece. Montreal will also accept a certified copy of the divorce court's final order. On the day in question, my dearest only had an un-certified copy of the court's final order, printed out on her home printer. This was what she provided to our immigration attorney who gave it her blessing and included it and a photocopy of it in the big fat package my fiance took with her to Montreal. Little did we know that my fiance did not stand a chance of succeeding at her interview. The resulting 51-day delay in getting Montreal  to approve cost us dearly. By the time we got into the U.S. together in mid-March, county governments that issue marriage licenses were shutting down due to Covid-19 and we could not obtain a marriage license. It took until April 30 to obtain a license and we were married on May 5th. Only then were we able to finally apply for the all-important AOS and Advance Parole. So in the end.. not having the proper divorce certificate at the interview has caused at least a three-month additional delay in getting the AP and green card. That hurts, and was so easily preventable.

It sounds like you have what you need. Raised seal, signature.. you're good to go.
