  1. Yes you’re welcome. I know how this process can be. Lots of sleepless nights just looking for answers.
  2. Hello, thank you. The priority date for my I 130 was September 17, 2022. Our I 130 was approved and sent in NVC August 13, 2023. We were documentarily qualified by September 7 of 2023. Now we’re awaiting the interview. good luck on your process.
  3. My stepson was recently documentarily qualified with NVC. We are now awaiting an interview date. I know that that this is not a fast process because I went through this process with my husband not long ago. I was however curious of anyone recent experience though. He will be interviewed through the Nigerian embassy in Lagos. Any ideas of what the wait time on an interview with the embassy currently is? He is only 6 and currently staying with his uncle because his mother passed away last year. We want him hear as soon as possible but know we also have to use patience. Thanks!
  4. I went on USCIS to check the status of my case today. When I look at the processing time, it now says, " Your case is taking longer than expected to process. You do not need to take any action at this time". Last month it said 7 months. My questions are, does this mean it will take longer the the 7 months? Has anyone ever experieced this , how much longer did it take?
  5. Ye we listed him on my husbands petition and no he wasn’t married to the child’s mother the expedite reasons I was financial and humanitarian hardship.
  6. Yes, that’s true. It took 2 years for my husband to get here, I was hoping we could get our son here a bit faster because he is so young. I forget this process takes lots of patience
  7. So on the USCIS website it says processing time 7 months. You’re opinion is that we will likely have to wait those 7 months even if we can upload a death certificate?
  8. No they didn’t they just denied it with no explanation
  9. My husband is Nigerian and has been in the US for over 2 years. He has a 7 year old son in Nigeria and last year the child’s mother passed away and we have petitioned for him to come to the US. We recently tried expediting it but it was denied. The only thing we could think of is that we didn’t have the death certificate of his mother. My husband ‘s family in Nigeria are trying to get this but we don’t have it yet. Has anyone gone through anything similar. We’re hoping we don’t have to wait for the regular I 130 track.
