  1. Hi VJ,

I'm getting worried about filing the I-134 since I still owe 8G in the bank and I have no savings. However, if they are looking for establishment employer, well I have been working in the same company for 4 years now but I don't think that will be a strong support. This coming next year I will get another job but again I don't think that's counted. The only thing I have left is to ask my father to be my sponsor because my father has a lot of assets and he makes way more than poverty line. The big question is, can he be my sponsor? Or I can be eligible to sponsor my fianceee?

Please help us VJ, I know the fact that this has has been a topic for several times but again I need some clarification.

    A big thank you,

    flavorgreentea

Your debts are not a factor. Your income is. If you've worked for the same employer 4 years and earn over the I25% poverty level for your State, you qualify to sponsor.

Actually reading the I-134 instructions then looking through the form itself would have told you that. I highly recommend it.

Okay I just don't quite understand the "sponsor's household size" part. For what I understand, since I'm going to sponsor only my fiancee that means in the first category meaning my household size is (2) is it?

  2. pls people i made this very specific, its questionable how we still dont have our NOA1, we sent it oct 2 2007, still no mail of NOA1 up to now.

Just wait!!! I'm going to make this very specific so you will undertand clearly. I sent mine Sept. 4, I got the respond after two months and two days (November 6, 2007) you just have to wait because can't help it since the holiday is coming too. Base on my accurate calculation you just have to wait 1 or 2 weeks and the NOA1 soon will arrive in your mailbox. However, if that's not going to happen you need to contact the center...

I know alot of you guys already got their NOA2 so please let me know how long does it take? I'm sorry for the silly question but I'm definitely getting impatient for this one...

  5. aloha to all vj members:

it has been 2 months that i have sent my i-129f but up until now i haven't receive anything yet. i'm getting worried and even a noa 1 hasn't arrive yet at this moment. most of people here on vj already got their noa 1 from first 30 days of waiting. i was so worried from 40 days of waiting without noa 1 and as a result i end up calling one of the representative to fallow up. i can't believe when he told me to call him back after 90 days. now i'm stuck, i have no any further plan. please help me guys???

    thank you so much!!!

  6. to all member of VJ

sept. 4th i have mailed my i-129f and up until now there's no respond or any calls.

is that normal or should i take any action regarding to that matter?

    thank you!!!

It is pretty normal. Hopefully you will get an NOA1 within a month but we sent our petition on 23rd April and didn't hear anything else until the NOA2 on 27th August. If you sent a personal cheque with your application you can check with the bank to see when it is cashed and get your case number (beginning WAC) from the back of it.

    thank you for your advice

  7. i already sent the I-129F and im wondering if the medical examination is included to the $455? is it?

    thank you so much

No, there will be an additional fee associated with the medical examination. Depending on which country the non-USC fiance is from, the fee for the medical examination can vary.

    the country of japan

oh yeah one more thing i should include.

im thinking i should get her a medical examination here in the US so that when she gets back to japan theres no need to worry about it

  8. Hello fellow Nihon filers. Yoroshiku!

We just started the big waiting process, so there's nothing really to report on our progress, and won't for a couple more months. I'm going out there to visit in the middle of September though, and that should help to break up the waiting a bit. Then when I get back, I'm starting construction and adding another room to my house since my family is going to be growing soon, and that will keep me busy while we continue to wait.

Oh, and flavorgreentea, I found this page to be extremely helpful in guiding us through the process of filing our I-129F.

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1guide

    Ja, mata kondo na!

this journey of ours looks bluer than blue but the only way to break through is to go to to nihon and spend some time with our love ones. my case however, is different than some of the others but sooner later we will be all together (^_^)v....

right now my fiancee is getting ready for our dinner and next time i will report for our progress but it seems like there's nothing yet to tell because i just send the I-129f today...

    see ya

  9. Hello all nihon filers!!

I am brand new to this site (just joined yesterday... have been reading stuff for the past 24 hours or so. hah).. anyway, just wanted to say hi to everyone. My girlfriend Tomoko and I are actually still in the pre-stages of the process: deciding which route to take...

She was here in Hawaii (flavorgreetea, what part of hawaii you from?!?) for the past 2 years on student visa and we were going out pretty much from the time she got here... then she was going to have to go back soon, but I proposed and she said yes! She is actually back in japan right now, and we are trying to decide if (1)we should do K-1 visa, (2)I should go there and get married, then come back and start K-3 visa, or (3)she should come here on tourist visa and we marry, then she go back and i start K-3 visa... I was thinking that it might be best to do K-1 visa because it looked like the waiting time would be the shortest, but i just noticed that the Japan part of the waiting time for IR-1/CR-1 is actually really short (right now it says 77days average, as opposed to 176-300 for most other countries).... anyway, still trying to figure it out... I asked on a different thread already and got some good responses/explanations, but any one have Japan-specific advice as to which one might be the best way???

never knew anyone here from hawaii... by the way dphyled im from oahu honolulu.

i did all the research and i talked to people who pretty much already experience the process of petition. i gathered all the info and i came out with k-1 fiancee visa, i think this will be the best for my case. today i went to the post office in waikiki and i send the i-129F, i'm hoping there's no problem with all my documents. at this moment there's no backing up now and to my case only time will tell...

  10. i have one more question about g-325a. there's a question asking for my file number and it starts from A__________ what should i put on it?

It's asking for an Alien Registration Number, if you already had been issued one from a previous visa. If you don't have an A# then state "none".

im a us citizen and i think thats for an alien greencard holder, so it means i should leave it blank. thank you!

  11. can i file k-1 if i have only known the person for almost 2 years and to make it exactly 2 years do i have to wait for three weeks before i can submit the form??? because in three weeks is our 2 years aniversary...

I have a question that seems over looked.

Since it is coming on your 2 year mark.

Is that the last time you have seen your fiance?

If so that would be a problem for you.

The rule states you have to have been with your fiance within 2 years.

If so you should plan a visit with her again soon.

i can simply answer your question. me and my fiancee are dating for almost two years now and after 3 weeks we are looking at 2 years anniversary. my fiancee is actually here with me in the us. basically, she's having her 3 months vacation from japan. however, she must to go back next month before her i-94 get expired. NOW do yo think there's a problem of filing k-1???

radsr2002 you've been truly a helpful person and i thank you for doing so...

  12. You technically could file a K-1 after knowing someone for one day. The restriction s having met them within two years not having known them for two years!

i would like to clarify myself. i have met my fiancee from sept. 2005 and this coming next month is the 2 years anniversary of having met her not knowing her. do you think im still qualify for k-1???

If you only met her once, then you must file the petition before the two-year anniversary of meeting.

If you are worried about not knowing her long enough, stop worrying. You misunderstood the reference to two years.

thank you pushbrk!!! base on your statement if i only met her once, then i must file the petition before the two year anniversary of meeting. why is that? is there any consequence? please help!!!
