  1. to VJ members,

me and my wife had an interview for her greencard yesterday. the agent want me to provide a k-1 approve document but i don't have it, the medical examination card doctor didn't even mark some of the blanks. not to mention we did the medical examination both places in japan and here in the US. the only thing i provide was the medical insurance and car insurance. anyway, my question is did we rail the interview because the agent didn't give us anything???

    thanks,

    flavorgreentea

Sounds like they want the NOA1 or NOA2. A copy can be obtained from USCIS, at a cost.

Did the USCIS agent give you a list of items to provide? You probably didn't fail yet, but need to get your documents in order.

the agent didn't give us anything or to tell us what to do right after the interview. all i got is a piece of paper, a paper on how to submit the i-174form.

  3. aloha to all VJ members,

greetings and hope everybody's wishes will come true right before this christmas.

anyway, i got a noa once again for our greencard interview but i don't know how necessary to bring a japanese interpreter. her english skills got improve her listening and speech much better than when first she got here in the US, however, she might have a problem understanding all the legal terms if there is. even myself in the other hand having a lot of difficulties tried to understand all those "legal terms." anyway, what do you guys think should i hire an interpreter for her interview? or she will be alright without them?

    thank you,

    flavorgreentea

  4. I read your post again and I want to point out that the form that you need is the I-693A, this is vaccine supplement. However, it does appear that your wife needs to have a complete medical exam done since her original exam was March 2007. Medical exams are only good for one year. We don't have my hubby's paperwork for his medical in Ethiopia, I'm guessing its the I-693 you are talking about. Make sure to complete BOTH forms.

first i would like to say thank you for your advise. in my mind i was going to finish the i-693a so that i can get it and send it along with the i-485. by the way correction to my last post, she actually did her medical examination in last march 2008... sorry for confusion!

    thanks

  5. to all vj members,

with all your help i succeed to file a k-1 for my fiancee in japan, i'm sure i couldn't make it without you guys. now i would like to ask more a little favor if someone could help me to guide me through this AOS documents. here goes a little story, in march 29, 2007 my fiancee did her medical examination in japan, then she got her k-1 visa and finally got to chance to be with me in state. july 7, 2008 was the official date that she finally enter in the U.S. and got married this month of august, i'm very happy. now here's the asking favor i pretty much did all the documents from i-485, a copy of my fiancee's passport, valid i-94, birth certificate, marriage certificate, passport photo and the hard part the i-693. base on my research through this site that i should provide a form of i-693 with sign of CS. i made a lot of reservation last week to see all of those local CS but all of them ask me if i have the paper from immigration to transcribe the copy of my fiancee's vaccination legally. all i can say is no because i haven't yet submit any of my documents to them. at this part i'm really stuck!!! i don't know if i can simply send this documents with just a copy of vaccination. what you guys think should i just send it or there any other way to do this. i'm thinking since my fiancee came here with a k-1 visa and the medical examination was perfectly done in japan may be i'm okay just send it without the i-693 form. PLEASE HELP!

thank you very much sorry if my post was long,

  6. thanks to everyone i finally got this cover and i made a lot of phone calls this morning. the most inexpensive i can get around oahu island of hawaii is about $80 and no where near i can get lower than that. i got no choice but to make an appointment and give the asking price of $80. anyway, i got everything ready but there's one more i need to know about. the i-601 application for waiver of grounds of excludability is this very necessary? or should i just send the i-485 without it? to be honest i really dont know the meaning of i-601

    please help,

    flavorgreentea

I-601 is waiver to get a visa not to adjust status.

thank you so much for a quick reply... im almost done with all the papers i thought i have to include the i-601 , sorry for being really cofused about this whole process.. this site truly help me!

  8. to all vj members,

in last march my fiancee just got her medical examination in japan. now im doing the i-485 form but i noticed they need i-693, is this mean i need to send my fiancee to get her another medical examination?

please thank you very much for all your idea,

    flavorgreentea

Can't really give you an accurate answer since you may have not updated your timeline? It shows you haven't gone to your interview yet. This was posted in the K-1 thread, so maybe that's so? Was their medical this past March? or March of 2007? For the medical to be valid, it has to have been done within a year of the interview date.

Or...have you not updated your timeline and you're applying for AOS?

i have not done my timeline as of this far. right now im currently applying on behalf of my fiancee for AOS, just that im just confused about the medical part. as i mention in my last post she already done the medical examination in last march and all we got is the copy of the vaccination... is there any way we can get this go on???

  9. To all VJ members,

It has been a long time since I filed the papers and finally I'm down to purchasing a plane ticket. Anyway, my question is? Do I need to pick her up to her home country and bring her here in the U.S with me personally? I'm out of budget right now. Is it easy for her to come her if I'm with her or vice versa?

    Thank you all,

    Flavorgreentea

  10. To all members of VJ,

If my fiancee got the visa today, does she have to enter in the U.S right away or there is a month period? how does the fiancee visa work? she's thinking staying in Japan for couple of months to prepare everything before coming to U.S, she's worried that might get expired the visa before she get everything ready.

    Please help us, thanks!

  11. Aloha,

I don't know that I have an answer to your question, but in the cold snowy weather here, I was missing Hawaii and just had to respond to your "Aloha."

I think that the police certificate is only good for like 60 or 90 days. I wouldn't do it until after the NOA2. As for the medical, I think that's only good for a certain time frame as well. I just don't know the time frames as I'm still waiting for my NOA2 as well.

    ALOHA!

This afternoon we have a quick heavy rain and due to it we have a 65F but the normal temp. everyday is 78F.. I hope I didn't tease you with that kind of weather LOL. Anyway, I would be staying 2 weeks in Japan in this coming next month of january so that makes us even..

    THANKS for the reply

  12. The e-mail came this morning. Talk about a weight off our chests!!!

Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) Current Status: Approval notice sent. On December 13, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

I have updated my timeline and am thanking God right now. I am hoping that everyone else who is waiting will get their NOA 2 quickly. Ours took 140 days from when I sent it.

Good luck everyone. Thank you for all of your help and advice!

    ScottnCati,

Can you please give me a little piece of advice on what to do or what to prepare when the NOA2 arrive. ZeeNusah already told me what to do but I just want to gather more info. before I step up. you have my humble appreciation, congrats for your NOA2 and goodluck for your juorney.

  13. Having a copy of the petition is so that your fiance can see what you sent to USCIS. You can just let your fiance know what it was you sent to them. USCIS is not going to return your petition. If you don't have the original petition don't worry about it.

A copy of the letter of intent is here: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Fiance...r_of_Intent.doc

The proof that you send with your fiance to the interview does not have to be the same that you sent with your petition. At the interview you want to be able to prove your ongoing relationship so only include evidence from the time you sent the petition up to the interview. You can send originals if you want, but if you want the originals back make sure you have copies to give to the CO. What originals did you include with your petition? It is possible that these will not be necessary for the interview.

As for what to do after the NOA2, I would just follow the guides here on VJ.

    Hope this helps :)

Thanks for your big advice! I finally ease the pain when you gave me the add. for the letter of intent.

Again thank you Zeenusah for your help and reading my post...

  14. Goodevening VJ members,

Latelty I've been thinking what do I have to prepare if I got the NOA2. I made a research through this site and I found out that I should make a copy of the entire I-129F that I sent out to USCIS. The problem is I didn't make a copy of it before I sent out, however, I can somehow mimic the papers if necessary. VJ members is that really important to send the copy to my fiancee after receiveing the NOA2, what about if I can't retrieve the entire copy? will it be a problem? I would definitely fallow the directions I found on this site after receiving the NOA2 but can somebody tell me how to make the letter (desire to marry your fiancee and your continued support of the K-1 Visa). Also base on direction I found, I have to send the originals of document proof that I've submitted for the I-129F for my fiancee's interview. Is that mean USCIS will send me back the I-129F or I really have to make another copy of I-129F with originals that I sent out. At this point I'm having a difficulty to prepare all the documents and understanding the concept, I don't know how to make this quick and simple. Can somebody please teach me what to do after NOA2. I dont' what to rush and not prepared when the NOA2 arrive. Even for just a little moment I want to have some peace of mind...

Truly appreciate even a small opinion!

  15. Okay that clears the household numbers. Thanks. Yes I figured a Co-Signer would be needed.

    To all VJ members,

I have notice something. Why everytime I make a new post it always move? Is there someone looking after my post, like review it and recording it or something. This kind of provoking me...

please tell me why this happen?
