  1. I am self-employed and paying my premium in full directly to the healthcare provider. Should I make the letter/statement myself or in this case I would need something more "valid"?
  2. I can't unless she has : a US social security number or proof of permanent residency.
  3. We are in the phase of uploading the civil documents to CEAC (DS-260 and I-864 already submitted) and just found out about the DS5540. I am trying to make the best outcome for my wife abroad for example getting her a future employment letter and a healthcare plan. But no major insurance provider wants to enroll her unless I have proof that her green card has already been approved. Would really like to be able to answer yes at the question 4A “ Will you be covered by health insurance in the United States within 30 days of your entry into the United States?” How you guys figured this out so far? Thanks, Chris
  4. I-864 Item Number 7. Current Individual Annual Income. What should I enter here if I’m self- employed? I had fluctuating net income for the past 3-4 years ( but all meet the minimum income requirements for the sponsorship) and also fluctuating earnings throughout the year, so it's difficult to estimate after only 5 months into 2020. And what should I include as evidence for supporting my claim about the expected income for the current year? Thank you
  5. Hi Paul, You are right, the civil documents are not uploaded with the DS-260, but after submitting the DS. They still want us to upload them in the CEAC system tho. See the link below : https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/PDF-other/Uploading to CEAC-instrucions.pdf
  6. Thank you Paul! I have another question I was thinking to open a new topic, but hoping I get an answer from you here When preparing the DS-260 Immigrant Visa Application, the applicant’s supporting civil documents need to be translated in english? The applicant is not present in the US and the interview will take place at the US Embassy/Consulate in Bogota, Colombia.
  7. Hello, Can I attach an electronic signature when filling form I-864 on my computer or do I need to print the form after filling it, then hand sign it, scan it and upload it ? Thank you
  8. Thank you for your prompt answers! 2019 it's my best so far but since I recently filed, the tax transcript it's not available on the IRS yet and I don't want to wait a few more weeks for it to be available; Can I just send the return documents prepared by my cpa? Also isn't required as a self-employed to prove incoming income for the current year as well (like bank statements ) ? Didn't see anything about that on the form or instructions, but read that it's indicated. Thanks again, Chris
  9. Hello everyone, We had our I-130 approved in an unexpected 3 months and 4 days since filling date and got caught a little by surprise as I am now preparing the affidavit of support and have some challenges as a self-employed. Hopefully the ones that went through he same steps can help us out answering a few questions. I would really appreciate it. As a self-employed sponsor do I need to send the tax returns (showing my schedule C and D), the tax transcripts with the I-864 or both? I have two different steady sources of self-employment income for the past 4-5 years both 1099 and filed together on same schedule C. First income is as an independent contractor for a larger corporation and second is income on my LLC as an Amazon seller. Two different industries that have nothing to do with each other. Do I need to attach a letter explaining more detailed the nature of each “job” or they will figure it out from the returns? Adjusted gross income is more than sufficient and showing increase year over year. Do I also need to attach my 1099’s and the signed contracts with the company I am contracting for? Do I need to submit bank statements to prove income for the current year (2020) ? Thank you, Chris
  10. Hi Karol, I am the petitioner (not the beneficiary) but also the interpreter (my wife doesn't read nor speak fluent english) and the preparer of the form I130A.I haven't used an interpreter/preparer to fill form I130, therefore I've put down my information in 130A in parts 5 and 6. I haven't printed the form since I used a pdf filler, just not sure about the e-signature (handwritten).
  11. Hello, I am filling online on behalf for my abroad wife and preparing the form I130A myself, therefore I'm both the interpreter and the preparer. I am using a PDF filler to type in the blocks. Do I have to print, sign then scan and upload the form, or a handwritten e-signature will do it? I'm a little confused about the "sign in ink" mentions on the form and there's not much info about USCIS's policy on e-signatures related to this form. Thank you

  13. Hello, I am filling the form I130A in the behalf of my spouse as the interpreter and also the preparator. I am doing the tipping on my computer with a PDF filler. Do I have to print the form, handwrite my signature in black ink, then scan and attach the form to the I130 application or a handwritten E- signature would do it to? Thanks, Cristian
  14. Yes, you have to put a date (can't leave blank nor type letters). Same thing for the current physical address. I thing it's a little odd.
  15. Hello, I am filling the i130 form online for my wife and I got a little bump on the way. At the last 5 years employment history section it would not let me save it unless I put an ending date.Should I enter the today's filling date even tho my employment has not been terminated? Thank you
