Correct. Most current tax transcript is required W2 not needed if you use the IRS provided transcript. You must also submit evidence of current income .. last years W2 isn’t usually used for that ... it’s usually in the form of 3-6 recent payslips
Ok thanks! Also to confirm, since the only required document they ask for are:
- FEDERAL INCOME TAX RETURN OR TRANSCRIPT
- AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT FORM(I-864,I-864EZ,or I-864W)
Should we be submitting anything located on this page that isn't marked as required?
- Evidence of income (Job letter I assume)
- Proof of Domicile
- Proof of relationship (Which was submitted under the Civil documents)
- Proof of U.S. status
We will submit the above anyway because we believe it won't hurt but we were just curious.
And lastly for now, once we submit our taxes for this year, should we wait until April when its available or can we submit what we currently and say write a supporting document (letter and screen shot of submission) letting them know if was submitted and we will bring the 2019 transcript to the interview? We just dont want to have to wait until April to Submit everything that's all.

Hi everyone!
Can you advise me if the below are correct documents when submitting financial evidence?
- We are submitting a W2 as proof of employment (Which was received Jan 30th 2020)
- We will also submit the most recent Tax Transcript that will be filed next week (Based on the W2 above) which would be 2019's Tax Transcript.
I read the below on their website and I wanted to make sure we were interrupting it correctly and I also read somewhere that we need the most recent 3 year Transcripts. Is that correct?
How to Show Proof of Income
Petitioners must submit a federal tax transcript from the most recent tax year as proof of income. Alternatively, they may submit a copy of a tax return from the most recent tax year. They must do this even if there is a joint sponsor or household member income being used to meet the Federal Poverty Guidelines. The only exception is if the petitioner was legally exempt from filing federal income taxes, in which case he or she must submit a statement indicating why they were exempt from filing. Please submit an IRS tax transcript; you can find information on getting a tax transcript on the IRS’s website.
Do all Financial Sponsors Have to Submit a Form W2
A Form W-2 Wage and Tax Statement is provided to employees each tax year by employers in the United States, and shows the amount of money earned by an employee. Sponsors who submit an IRS tax transcript must submit a Form W-2 only if they filed taxes under the "married filing jointly" category – and if they were issued a W-2. Sponsors who claim to meet the Poverty Guidelines based solely on income earned at work and who submit a tax return (Form-1040) – not an IRS tax transcript – as proof of income must also submit that year’s Form W-2, if he or she was issued one.
We are just making sure we get this correct thats all. Thank you for your help!

Hi Everyone, I have a question that I thought I would just ask. Does it benefit the spouse coming over to the US to be added to the lease?
Does that help with say credit or anything along those lines or does it not matter at all?
Thanks for your time!

Hi everyone, does anyone know how long it takes for the website to be updated so we're able to start the applications when they have taken out the payment for the AOS and IV fees?
-
Hi, Quick question. We are in the process now with the NVC. we just paid our fees and are waiting to fill out the DS-260.
I don't know much about filing taxes in the US because i'm the one immigrating, will it be a problem if we submitted say the past 2 years of taxes since we aren't able to do the most recent one yet? We just dont want to wait to say after April to submit all of our documents.
Do you believe this would be an issue. We were thinking that If we got to the point where we can submit everything we would include a letter explaining why we don't have the current year fillings and that we will strive to have it for the interview?
Hopefully this made sense? Thanks!

Hi,
I would like to know what others who have attended their interview at the Embassy in Jamaica did with their cell phones?
My concern is if i get dropped off by a taxi from the Hotel, will easily be able to catch another from the Embassy?
I'm only worried that if i don't have my phone i will not be able to call anyone after.
Thanks for your help/advice!

Most people will have a hard time remembering that since you got most of your vaccines before you turned 2.

They will either vaccinate you or draw titers to see if you have immunity (aka been vaccinated)
Thanks for the reply! So when they draw the "titers" will they be able to tell what i need during the same visit?

Submitting W2 and Tax Transcripts
in Tax & Finances During US Immigration

I was trying to edit my previous reply for some reason it wouldn't allow me to submit the the change. Here is the new update.
Ok thanks! Also to confirm, since the only required document they ask for are:
Should we be submitting anything located on this page that isn't marked as required?
We will submit the above anyway because we believe it won't hurt but we were just curious.

We just don't want to have to wait until April to Submit everything that's all.
Lastly, to to make sure I understand correctly. Should we be submitting the last 3 years of Tax Transcripts and if so, that would be 2017, 2018 and 2019 (if available based on my question about the 2019 above)
