NOTE: ESTA is a travel authorization. VWP would be your method of entry still.
Many, many people have done exactly the same thing. Intent alone is not a basis for refusal. Some people are asked about it and others are not. Be honest. So long as you didn't misrepresent yourself at entry, there's nothing to worry about.
