@shurix @Man2Manhow long after "Issued - Final Processing" did you get e-mail notification confirming that your passport was shipped?

    Thanks!

I went for my interview on Monday and my status changed to Final Processing on Wednesday. I got the email with the tracking number on the following Monday and received my package on Wednesday

Hi Shurix, I have no delusions about the wait time.  I was curious about Man2Man's range even if my original comment stated at least 5 months.  The folks like you that just got interviews were well above the 4-6 months, sigh (and congrats).  Here is hoping that wait is not for the rest of us still waiting.  I just wish (like everyone) that there was some semblance of knowledge to the mysteries of the process.

There is no mystery to the process. Everyone has to wait for their turn. I was unlucky to get my case completion delayed until the end of April. When the time came for me to get my interview scheduled at the end of July, NVC has ran out of visas for 2019 fiscal year. At the end of July they sent out an email that all current dates are falling back to 1-June-2018. And I had to wait along with the other folks until NVC gets a new batch of 240,000 EB visas in October for the next fiscal year. For me personally it was just bad timing and bad luck.

Hi Man2Man, Curious why you gave 4-6 months given the last few including yourself were at or above 200 days from CC.  Also did you ever try to log into the CEAC website to see your DS260 after your case was complete?  I just tried and it no longer accepts the Case # and Beneficiary ID.  I know that is irrelevant but I was surprised it was not working.  In my bizarro mind I am hoping that there is movement with our case (At NVC to the promised land), lol.

I waited for 8 months for my interview after my case was completed. I hope this is the maximum and no one else has to wait for that long.

@shurix The status is now "Your visa is in final processing. If you have not received it in more than five (5) working days, please go to http://usvisa-info.com/en-CA/selfservice/us_courrier_information to track your courier waybill. For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV."

I have also received my Canada post tracking number. Scheduled to receive on 9th of Dec.

    That's great! Congratulations!

  5. I took my family to Montreal for the IV interview on Monday morning. As a result of the interview I got the green "Welcome to the United States" slip.

The immigration officer said to wait for our passports 2-4 weeks.

Status on CEAC site still says "Ready" like it was before the interview with Last updated date "December 2".

Hopefully the status changes soon and there are no delays beyond the 2 weeks.

Thank you for valid information. I have another question, for now me and wife will enter US since our job starts on Jan 6. But our visa expiry date is April 21, 2020,  6 months from the medical. So we have to come back and get kids from Canada to US before their visa expires. My concern is will we get green cards before their visa expires, totally stressed and confused. I sent an email to USCIS also to clarify it. If they allow me and wife without green card to reenter, then no problem. But I do not want to take any risk.

sadee, I don't know why you want to keep your kids in Alberta during the winter instead of taking them to Florida with you right away...

My oldest is in grade 8 right now and I want him to go to school in US as soon as we get our green cards. This will give him a great head start for high school next year.

  8. I emailed a question to the Montreal Consulate last week asking if they are expecting any delays to the scheduling of the new immigration interviews because of the relocation.

I received the answer from them today:

Please note that appointment scheduling will not be delayed by the relocation of the U.S. Consulate in Montreal.

Beginning November 7, the U.S. Consulate General is moving to 1134  Sainte-Catherine West, Montreal, Quebec.  Please note our offices will be closed for routine services, including visas and American citizen services, on Thursday November 7 and Friday November 8 and will have limited appointments on Tuesday, November 12.  We will be open for a regular schedule on Wednesday, November 13.

Your visa appointment will take place at the new location.

Due to limited space and to avoid crowding, we will admit applicants only at their scheduled appointment time and will not permit lines to form outside the building.  Please plan accordingly.

Thanks. My cc date is earlier than April 30th. I received my CC email on April 30th. They send email after about 10 days of Cc.  I think this delay is becoz of the retrogression. You may hear good news soon...

I received the email on Apr-29. I'm not really sure what me CC date is. Thanks for your support!

  10. Congrats, @Daniel2014 !

My CC date was Apr-29 and no IL yet :(

I called the NVC first thing in the morning today and the CS rep told me that my case is complete and they are simply waiting for another time slot from the Montral embassy.

    Fingres crossed
