You can certain ask if there is a medical concern, but otherwise pregnancy, in and of itself, is not a reason to expedite.

We already had a interview appointment Jan 6 2020. But had to postpone because hospital required 1year wait after tb treatment.

Embassy said can reschedule interview date after medical exam is completed wich may be late Feb or early march.

I'm wondering if somehow the hospital can do the exam a couple of months earlier. The hospital goes off of the cdc rules. I was trying to search of any rules pertains to pregnancy and leaniancy. After all her xray shows scar tissue but her sputum test was negative. After 6 months of antibiotics for precaution her end lab results conclude scar tissue on lung not from tb.

you wont have to begin again but you will have to wait a year until the treatment was completed. you will probably need another medical as well (but im not positive on that)

4 more months our 1 year wait will be complete and can go to start sputum test which will be all done late Feb 2021.

But now my wife is pregnant and really want the baby to be born in the US.

Is there anything we can do with the hospital or embassy to expedite the exam?

  3. My wife had to postpone embassy interview because of medical exam. December 2019 my wife went to get embassy medical exam but her xray shows abnormal scaring and was taking TB medicine. The hospital said she had to wait 1year after tb treatment. Jan9 she can get a new medical exam after sputum test.

Now we are 1 month pregnant. We want to have the baby in the US but are concerned about the waiting time for medical exam and reschedule of embassy interview. That it may be to late to fly from Thailand to US.

  4. My wife has her embassy appointment Jan 6 2020 at Thailand. She went to get her medical certificate but the Dr did not approve.

5 months ago my wife had to see a Dr because her xray shows a spot on lung. She did tb tests and lab was negative but Dr put her on antibiotics for tb as a percotion.  So now her Dr said it is scar tissue not tb.

But yesterday the embassy aproved Dr said they can't give certificate to go to US on IR1 visa till 1 year after medicine is completed.

We don't know what to do. We have been aproved all the way to interview date but we can't get medical certificate. We are afraid we will lose our opertunaty and have to start again.

  5. I'm getting ready to send my application for ir1 visa to iv unit Bangkok.

    My packet 3 instructions State:

"submit original and photocopies of the following documents "

Passport, birth certificate, name change and marriage certificate.

Do I mail the original documents stated above to the embassy?

Or just mail photocopies..... And my wife brings the originals with her to her interview?

You will make the payment and submit the I-864 and other documents per the consulates instructions.   Sometime the instructions for DCF are not very clear.  You send nothing to the the NVC.

Thank you. I  find that the US embassy bangkok website is a little unclear. I'm not sure if I have to mail all my documents to them or just make a appointment and my wife personally gives them during interview.

No NVC .. the perk of the DCF, USCIS local office handled everything for their end  ... and very fast.    Before the  USCIS office was closed in the Philippines a person could complete the whole visa process (including interview at the embassy) in 60 days or less.

You will want to get on the embassy website for the rest of your process.   https://th.usembassy.gov/visas/family-immigration/the-interview/

And for sure read, and follow, this >>>  https://th.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/packets/

Thank you very much. I will continue as you instructed.  We have all documents from affidavits of suport and cival documents but have to wait 1 more weak for poloce certificate.

I have not read your link but does my wifeI just bring the documents to the embassy or mail? And the fee just give to US embassy cashier desk? I would rather have my wife give in person than trust thai post with sensitive documents espsaly joint-sponsor afadavit.

I already have my petition aproved with uscis Bangkok and recieved aproval letter.  "

Are you completing a DCF (Direct Consulate Filing)??    That would change things.   You would then be paying your visa fee directly (per embassy instructions), which is done after the local USCIS office has completed their processing.

USCIS closed a ton of offices at embassies so DCF is very limited now, that is cool that Thailand still has a USCIS office

You will want to follow the process as listed on the embassy website for Thailand.

We applied 2 days before uscis stopped  excerpting new petitions . Now aproved after 30 days. So  I have to deal with embassy direct?? I have no idea if it is dfc...  I filled and completed ds-260 and completed on ceac and printed out confirmation page.

When I check my status it says ready if have all documents.

I don't know if i wait for nvc or make appointment

Being an IR-1 visa, you completed the AOS processing at NVC, also you paid your visa application fee through NVC before they scheduled your interview.

DS-2001 states to send this to notify the Bangkok you are ready for the interview.

    https://photos.state.gov/libraries/thailand/591452/iv/ds2001.pdf

You will want to go to the U.S. embassy, Bangkok website to for their documents checklist

I'm sorry but I'm confused with the past tense words you are using... "completed " I still need to complete upload.

"paid" I have not paid  it is n/a at ceac online website

I need to "pay" can not yet

Do I have to send a ds-2001 to say I'm ready to start ceac to give documents and i-864? I'm confused about this ds-2001 when I do it and where i send it or just fill and give it

My wife is applying for ir-1 visa.  So we are a bit confused if ds-2001 and GSS forms and what i posted above.

  12. I'm living in Thailand and petitioned for my wife at uscis Bangkok.

We just got a email from Imagrant visa branch US embassy bankok with our letter and package 3 to follow the next steps. In the letter it has our case #.

Will we receive another email giving us a id# and beneficiary id# ?

I went to ceac online website and with the case # can log on. But when I enter choose a agent it goes to a "start now". When I click it, there is DS-260 to fill out.

My understanding is that I need to choose a agent DS-261 first. Do I need to wait for a email for the other id# ?

Also can I start filling out the DS-260?

Using the example you gave, you would scan the name change documents and save it as one file.

    Thank you for your reply.

One more example of assets??? Using 4 cars as assets should I put all 4 in 1 pdf file?

And also a house as a asset. Should I add the house to the same file as the cars and lable it as assets?

    • Form being filed
    • Supporting documentation:
      • Submit the documents or evidence listed in the form instructions.
      • Supporting documents must be in English or accompanied by a complete English translation.
      • Submit copies unless we request original documents. If you send an original document with your form, it may become part of the record and we will not return it to you automatically.
      • If you have any attachments, make sure each attached page has your name and A-Number (if any). You may also number the pages and include the total amount of pages being attached (for example, “page 1 of 11”).
      • Send single-sided copies of your supporting documentation.

I got confused by it talking about documents

    Then attachment

Then documents again at the bottom

Sounds like a misinterpretation.  How about quoting the part of the instructions you are referring to, with full context.  Like the full paragraph and any "If...." above it.

Note that supporting documents are not "attachments".  Attachments are rare.

  16. Reading i-130 instructions on uscis website to prepare your package.

It says to put potitioner and beneficiary name and A-number on all attachments. Are they referring to added pages like part 9 (exsplanation page) and cover letter?

Or do they want on all documents of suport like birth certificate, marrage certificate and name change  and family photos to prove bona fide marriage?
