  1. Thought you mite like this information. I was trying to sort out how to get my money out of my English bank Without paying the masses of money you end up paying the banks going from one account to another. Well I found Paypal to be the cheapest I sent money from my Paypal account connected to my Bank account to my Wifes Paypal account. Took a few days but only cost me £3.50 about $7.00. My babe just wrote me a cheque and I put it in my American Bank account.

  2. The interview is normally around 4 - 6 weeks after you send back the checklist to say you have all the required documentation and are ready for the interview.

The checklist will be in the next packet of documents you receive from the London Embassy. This is a link to the checklist online so you can see what is needed and start preparing. http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new/visa/iv/docs169.html.

The packet will also contain instructions for booking the medical examination.

Pardon for cutting in....how quickly can a medical exam be booked? Darren is taking about 10 days off when I come to visit in a month...he hates taking time off, and we would like to get the medical out of the way...

    Thanks!

When I rang for my medical I asked as quickly as possible and they offered me the very next day. Of course that was a bit to soon for me had to book the day off at work. But if he's all ready off mite suit you two. I had mine 5 days after ringing

  5. i've landed and managed to get in to the Marble arch inn. They've got free internet which is most handy for keeping in touch with my better half. Had a bit of trouble finding it at they're working on the road outsided and there a big green box in front of the door. plus the map on the next seems to mark out the wrong side of the road. Just thirteen hours to go. Let you know what happens as soon as I can, well after I tell my better half.
