  1. on my 2nd cup.........I am starting to wake now.

    La Princessa is tearing around the house, I think she might have taken a slurp if coffee..lol.

    Major decisions being made in my house regarding uscis and ####### like that. :wacko::wacko:

    My son was laid off from his job on Friday, my daughter said her employer (Baker's Square) is closing another 30 stores. I watched 3 coworkers get laid off last month. hmmmmm anyone else seeing this?

    Happy Sunday, MENA! I don't post here often but wanted to repy to Jackie's post. I was just laid off from my job Friday, too, due to a company downsize. It seems like its everywhere. :( Now both hubby and I must find jobs :unsure::blink:

  2. It depends where....In Tunisia it seems pretty normal . In Algeria hand holding to cross the street.. Kissing ABSOLUTELY NOT... If you kiss in the airport in Algiers the policemen are breathing down your back.....Public displays of affection? Um no.

    Samir kissed me goodbye at the Algiers airport and it was weeks later (because he was so embarassed) that he told me that the police confronted him afterwards and told him that he had shown great disrespect. Can't wait to see him at JFK in one week...oh and can't wait to kiss him! :lol:

  3. WE MADE IT!!!!! Cristiane had her interview yesterday. We were the first in line and the 2nd to be interviewed. We were VERY nervouse, but the lady was very pleasant and talked to me almost more than she did to Cristiane. We were celebrating back at the hotel by 11:30am!!

    One bad thing is they no longer allow you to come and pick up your passport at the Embassy anymore. You must wait for the courrier service to deliver it to you :(

    :dance::dance::dance:

    Congratulations on a successful interview! It is such a relief, isn't it!? :thumbs:

  4. I haven't been real active on the boards because I assume that if someone has a question or if they want to know more about our visa journey then they would feel more comfortable PMing me after they performed a timeline search. I know, not always a good thing to assume, but that is why I don't post about our visa journey. :)
