To anyone that has had their interview/medical recently - what vaccinations were required? Did you have to get additional? Did you do this preemptively or at the clinic? Which visa clinic did you use? We’re you able to use nhs for new vaccinations? The CDC list seems really extensive, is that accurate?

    thanks!

    Hi Aimeehtx,

    I had my medical yesterday.

I got all the vacines on this list ahead of the interview (I took them at City Doc in London):

However, in addition to the TD/TDAP already taken, they made me take an additional Tetanus shot (cost: 40 Pounds)....

Technially, there's one more Tetanus shot required but that got waived due to us filing an IR-1.

So I paid £390 in all for my medical....

    I hope this helps :)

    Kind regards and good luck

Ahh, sorry to hear that - the Nov. batch went out today, so looking at your timeline (Aug 12th DQ?) I am guessing you will be informed of your interview date within the first half of December for a January interview date (so far they've released new batches on Sept 10th, Oct 7th and Nov 13th). The good news is that they seem to be clearing the backlog a bit, so you might get an apt in early January! Good luck!

    Thanks...

    Fingers 🤞🏿🤞🏿🤞🏿

Thank you! So I am trying to sort out an issue I have as there are 2 timelines for me and I can't update them or delete them.

To give you an idea they received our I-130 by the end of June 2019, by early December it was moved to the NVC and a new case was created by the end of January. We became documentarily qualified by the 2nd of June this year and on the 8th October I was informed that my interview would happen on the 4th November. As my medical results did not arrive on time for the interview but they kept my passport, I am just waiting for them to check it all and get my passport returned and finally fly to USA asap!

Have you had your interview yet?

Ah, thanks for filling in... appreciate the info.

    No, no interview yet.

    I'm still waiting 🤞🏿

For those who are feeling worried about your CR1 visa appointments today, let you know that I had my interview today and I was told by the consular officer that they will remain open, therefore there shouldn't be any problem if you have your appointments scheduled already.

Don't worry, honestly, this is a less strict lockdown compared to the one back in March and I do believe they do not want to impact certain public services such as schools, consulates, embassies, etc.

Good luck everybody! Btw I was approved! 👏👏👏

    Congrats Alicia! 👌🏾

    Mind sharing your timeline ?

    E.g. when were you DQ'd ?

    Kind regards

we received an email this morning from NVC stating that our expedite wasn’t approved.

i’m not at all surprised, the chances were very slim, but we still wanted to try. at least we know now that they do eventually reply, approved or not.

    request sent: 8/27

    reviewing: 9/3

    couldn’t approve: 9/15

    Oh, that's a shame...

I hope you don't wait too long for the regular processing.

What reason did you give for the expedite, if I may ask ?

If you are married to a U.S. citizen you are exempt and do not need to apply for a National Interest Exception (NIE). You should however contact your airline before travelling and ask them what documents they require for boarding.

That’s the response from the embassy.

Thanks alot for the info :☺️

    Hi Yere_and_Kanbi,

what do you declare as your purpose for travel then when you reached immigration..  Did you have to disclose you were married and your I-130 is currently being processed? (or that is visible to them on their systems_

    Hi Ismee,

Not sure if it was visible to them in the system.

Each time I just stated: 'I'm here to see family'....and that was it....I was welcomed into the states :)

No one has ever asked me if I was married.

I think you have to bring a copy of marriage certificate and copy of his passport. Proof that you don’t have any intention to stay permanently like rent, employment contract, ticket going back home etc.

I my self is going to visit my USC husband next month and I’ll be using ESTA. I emailed US embassy to make sure that I’m exempted to the ban before purchasing ticket. It will be my 5th time visiting my husband using ESTA.  ☺️

    Hi Tyson20,

    thanks for the response.

Did you get a response from the embassy ?

  9. Hello everybody,

I am a European citizen affected by the travel ban via presidential proclamation barring anyone who has been in the UK, Ireland or EU within the past 14 days, from entering the US.

Acording to the proclamation, spouses of US citizens are exempt from the ban. I currently do not have a greencard or other residence permit (permanent or otherwise).

From what I understand, I will be able to enter the States with my European passport and evidence of marriage, correct ?

Has anyone with a valid ESTA registration travelled under this exception since the ban has come into effect ?

If so, would you mind sharing if you experienced any issues ? What else do I have to watch out for ?

What proof did you have to present at the point of entry ?

Were there any issues with the airline ?

I look forward to your answers.

    Thanks and best regards.
