  2. Hey guys!!

I already send all my paper work, but unfortunately today I received a letter from the USCIS, requesting for my birth certificate. I didn’t send it the first time, cause I thought with my passport was more than enough, and also cause it was in Spanish.

Now reading this web page… http://www.usabal.com/permres/AOS/birth_cert_info.html

In the bottom of the page says that to translate a document it doesn’t need to be trahnlate by a certify interpreter, is just enough if its not a family member. That information is correct? Can I ask to any of my friends to do the translation for me? Or does somebody knows where can I translate my birth certificate??? I am in Orlando. Thanks so much!!

  3. Hey Guys! I just want to share my very interesting experience… today I went to my biometric appointment 30 minutes earlier, and you must know that in the letter, they ask you for a photo id of any kind (passport, driver’s license, etc), and the appointment notice. We check in in the front desk, or I may say security, and they also ask for the marriage certificate, thank the lord (and my husband cause we suggested it) I took with me all the files…

They gave me this number and we wait for 30 minutes… when it was my time, a very nice American guy help me out, and we start with my fingerprints… unfortunately my fingerprints were not legible, so after 22 minutes trying to get something he gave up! Like he took all my fingerprints but there where some fingers that were only 50% legible, and the machine didn’t accept it… my mom and I, have very weak fingerprints… so he said that probably they will have to take it to the FBI… yeahhhh…. I was like… man.. can I have a break!

I also saw that all the people that got in, came out with this card, with their picture on it, like an ID… are you supposed to get an ID after you biometrics????

I just hop for the best… I really hope no body had this problem… is a problem right?

  4. we decided to get marreid cause our parent were coming to town to meet each other!

Congratulations on the marriage! I never get tired of hearing reasons people get married, and you definitely have a reason I have never heard before.

Yeah, sounds like you need to hang tight in the U.S. until you receive your green card or approved advance parole papers.

Thanks fot the congrats!! Obviusly i sound kind of silly now that i am reading it, and we got married just cause we love each other so much that we didnt want to be away from each other longer... and i seem like the perfect time! (L)

    thanks for the posts!!

  5. Well what happened to me, was that I ask my mother to send me my record of shots. And even they were in Spanish the doctors didn’t seem to matter!

I am sure you all ready have them, cause mainly they are shots that you take when you are a child. Even though, they made me take the tetanus one cause you have to take them every two years… if I remember well.

I hope this will help you ^_^

  6. Then don't worry about the fraud issue I brought up. Just make sure you build a good case and prepare to show at interview that the decision to marry was made after your arrival in the US. Leaving and re-entry is quite risky at this point, however.

Thanks, for this tip, cause my husband, really doesnt take all this staff as serious as me. And i sure know that u dont want to screw with immigrations! Do you recomend me to get a lawyer?

  7. hey guys!

i came here with my tourist visa, and i got married with an american citizen. Until now, what i have is my NOA of my I-130, and i am taking my biometrics on tuesday!

we have decide to make a trip, a cruise to the bahamas, but i am worried that i canot reenter to the US. Cause i dont have a greeen card or anything besides that document!

Does anybody knows about this subject?

    thanks!

  8. HEY THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE TIP, CAUSE WE TALK WITH A LAWYER AND SAID THE EXACT SAME THING.. THAT WE SHOUDNT SAY THAT I CAME WITH THE INTENTION OF GETTING MARRIED...

I NEVER KNEW THAT U COULD GET TRANSFER OR EVEN REQUEST FOR FURTHER EVIDENCE... I AM REALLY SHOCK, BUT HOPEFULLY EVRYTHING WILL BE ALL RIGHT!

    THANKS CECY

I came here on a tourism visa (B2). Your case is pretty much treated like everyone else, the only thing is they might make sure at the interview that you did not come with the intent of getting married.

As far as a timeline, it depends more on your local office than your case itself it seems as some office are more backlogged than others. You can't really set rules on timelines, just take what you find here to give yourself an idea.

You'll have the biometrics, then you'll wait to either get an interview at your local office, or be transfered to the California Service Center and pray for no RFE (request of further evidence) and not being stuck in the FBI namecheck.
