You can't leave the USA before you got here.

If I enter information in there for my 'last trip' which was actually TO the USA not from it, that makes it look like I was gone for months on end. I can't 'leave' the US before I moved here. That was my logic and I figured I will explain this at the interview. I'm pretty sure that the form has omited the 'or 3 if filing under the 3 year rule' in the question there. 

Thanks! Everything else has seemed straightforward to me. Got to that question and got confused. We have his residency back to 2009 because we lived in the same house from then til 2015 when we arrived here. 

I'm confused as well, about Part 9, time outside the USA. We are here 4 years. And my husband has traveled outside the USA twice during that time. BUT should I include the year before we moved here? So, should I put today's date, 5 years ago, and his date of entry, 4 years ago, as a "trip" outside the USA?

@wbeem, you excluded that half a year prior to living in the USA?
