All similarly situated petitions have the same situation.   As soon as they resume normal visa processing,  files should start moving again

My fiancé has heard of a few other peru applicants having their statuses changed from at NVC to in transit as of recently so I’m hoping to hear from actual Lima peru applicants, not the same regurgitated stuff from the past year no offense.

  2. Is the K1 Visa an immigrant or Nonimmigrant visa? They say differently everywhere you look and it's driving me nuts. Make up your mind people! Haha, but seriously. Anybody know? Also, we filled out the DS-160, for a nonimmigrant, so now we are a bit confused. And they say to pay the fees and fill out the other forms, but where are they? When I go to CEAC, it just says to fill out the DS-160. Our case was approved by the USCIS on March 26th, and we had to call the NVC to get the case number and invoice, we never received the welcome letter which I'm assuming is cause the embassy is still closed. Peru embassy, anyone know when that might open?

If assigned, they will provide if you call or email and ask

My problem with this is they say communication for non-immigrant visas are suspended at the moment, and that you can check your case status online if you have one. It’s like okay that’s great but what if it’s been 2 1/2 months and I still have no case number...am I literally just waiting for them to send it to the embassy to receive a case #?

We received the notice and had an interview date that was cancelled due to Covid19 AIT closure. Probably the reason your not getting a reply because they are backlogged. Our concern is that we passed the May 15 USCIS expiration date. Does anyone know if they will automatically extend them if your interview was cancelled?

May 15th expiration date? What is that concerning? I’m unaware

    Exactly, look at the dates listed in Column 5 (I-129F NOA1) and Column 6 (I-129F NOA2): https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?op1=3&op2=&op3=1&op4=1&op5=&op6=All

To get an idea as to what's next on your immigration journey, consult the VJ K1 visa Flowchart, the timeline is inaccurate, but the scheme of events is still current:

Good luck on your immigration journey.

BTW: Is there a lot of snow on Timp yet?

    Thanks

And no not really, there was some light powder like two weeks ago but it’s been really mild since. Hopefully soon

  6. “USCIS:  Your case was received. Receipt **********. Official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) to follow in mail. Msg & Data rates may apply. DO NOT REPLY“

I received this on Friday morning and actually received it twice. The receipt number is exactly the same in the two messages, is that just a coincidence? Does this mean they are now looking at our case and how long should It take to receive our next response? Also, the I-797 could mean a number of things right?

  7. I sent in my I-129f with the g-1145 notification of acceptance. USPS says it arrived Monday morning early, and I haven’t heard anything back yet. I triple checked the address and P.O. Box but what concerns me is I’ve received letters in my mail from the wrong address from usps somewhat frequently, how do I know it hasn’t been delivered to the wrong P.O. Box? It’s frustrating they don’t respond sooner. I realize I sound impatient, I just don’t want months of work to be wasted. Does anybody have any experience with the Dallas Texas location? How long does it usually take to hear back?

It's possible but I would not expect it.  Just not sure why you dated them after being so careful

Probably in my effort to be so careful I overlooked one seemingly small thing whilst making a big deal about other parts. Have you ever not made a similar mistake? I appreciate your help but the questioning doesn’t really help

They'll send you an RFE letter. Then you have to submit whatever the letter is asking. You don't have to pay again.

Okay. It won’t be the end of the world I guess. Just really hoping it doesn’t come to that

Happens to the best of us, don't sweat it. If you do get an RFE, hopefully you don't, it should be an easy fix. Will your fiance be able to send you a new photo?

    I129f instr from uscis

You must submit one color passport-style photograph of yourself and one color passport-style photograph of the
beneficiary taken within 30 days of filing this petition. Using a pencil or felt pen, lightly print your name and A-Number (if any) on the back of the photo.

Yeah, she suggested maybe sending one now just so it can be a quick fix in the case they do send an RFE. If we did get one, would they send the packet back to us to be fixed? And would we have to pay the fee twice?

    You'll probably get an RFE.

You didn't have to put dates on the back, just the name.

I mean, we were very thorough in the evidence and everything...I’m really hoping they overlook it. I thought I had seen people say they needed to be named and dated on the back and that they had to be within 6 months.
