We're talking about communication from embassies on when they were to reopen, which based on my knowledge is just being clearly communicated now. The most recent evidence of this was the Twitter post a few days ago from the travel.statedepartment handle. Perhaps you had foreknowledge through all those "numerous" articles, but I didn't. No one is taking American jobs. On the contrary, immigrants create jobs in this country. And I never advocated for illegal immigration, otherwise I wouldn't be on this forum. A little history lesson though: the first people to arrive in this land did so illegally and luckily received asylum from very generous natives, otherwise they would not have made it.
Hey Paula! I spoke to the embassy this morning. K1 visas are not included in the executive order - we are okay. But i called the embassy to confirm and they told me that they are still waiting for permission to resume/process/issue K1 Visas. I don't understand. Do you want to try calling the embassy to see what they tell you? Other embassies are doing visa interviews (paris/australia/kenya/mexico/canada....)
