  1. I filed the I-751 for my Wife and included my 2 stepkids in October. A few weeks later I get 2 letters telling my kids that they where included on somebosy elses I-751. Another week go by and we get 2 appointments for Bio for my kids. I call the 800 number and get told that since my Wife is the primary petitioner to have her go too. So all of us show up at the appointment. After some research the tell me that the reason my Wife didn't have an appointment is that I didn't have her A# correct. Sure enough there is a A# problem on the Appointment form. But the forms that that we got for the Kids are correct. So all 3 have there Bio's taken. I then needed to fax the supervisor to resolve the A# problem. I then receive a letter that he can't help me since I am not the petitioner (Should have my wife sign the damn Fax). The problem was resolved so. Sooooooooooooooo today we get an invite for my Wife's Bio, 3 month after her Bio was taken.

    Like if the President and Vice President dies who is next in line and what's the name of that person

    I'm just curious, What exactly is the interview for? what usually is said / discussed at the interview?

  5. Congratulations

    Sure wish VSC would hurry up!

    As strange as this might sound when you look at the processing times for TSC... they DO work. I have no clue what happened but this is how it worked out for me and my daughter:

    I751 sent on October 2, 2006

    Check cleared TSC on October 5th, 2006

    Notice of action received October 13th, 2006

    Biometrics Houston November 2, 2006

    Approval email sent March 13th, 2007

    Cards sent in mail March 19th, 2007

    So, for a while now, my journey is over. Cannot say I regret that :lol:

    Good luck and speedy approvals for everyone.

  6. Great time line

  7. Hello all,

    I was wondering that if anyone wanted to write to them as feedback about why their processing is slow for I751 compared to other service centers.I came accross this when I was on USCIS website. It might not provide that much help ,but maybe worth a try.....

    Customer Feedback:

    please write to:

    USCIS Nebraska Service Center

    P.O. Box 82521

    Lincoln, NE 68501-2521

    Yes, it's frustrating. But remember we are with our loved ones. It's not like it was when my Wife's K3 took 1 yr. The delay in the perm G Card is just a miner inconvenience.

  8. The CSC date is a bit misleading. Several folks here that have gone through the CSC recently have had approval times of 2-3 months. These are applications sent in 12/06 and 01/07 so they must be processing beyond the date they have on their site.
    751 dates in date order

    CSC 09/13/2006

    VSC 09/01/2006

    TSC 08/23/2006

    LIN 08/13/2006

    NSC aug 19, 2006

    CIS says on their site that the will only show the dates that are outside their processing range. They expect I-751 to be done in 6 month. March 15 reporting date means Sep 15. So if you see a 9/15 date it could be anywhere from 1 day to 6 month. The important dates are the ones outside the 6 month date. Which mean those centers are behind.

  9. It happens a lot with I-751's. I think it's a glitch with their Comp system.

    The number is

    processing center = EAC

    Fiscal year = 07

    day of Fiscal year = 025 this would be Oct 25

    Some number = 5 or 0 if this isn't 5 it doesn't work on their system

    number of submission for that day 0000

    So, I called today the USCIS in regards to what is going on with my I-751....since I sent it a long time ago and I didn't even received my 1 year extension. They told me they dont know what happened but that I should get it in about 45 days from today....we'll see. They gave me a receipt number (that I already had from one of their "request for evidence"- they needed another address) and I attempted to check my status online through their website.

    This is the message I get:

    "Validation Error(s)

    You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

    * Customer Portfolio Insert Failed

    * Attempting to add a case that does not exist. Check the app receipt number. "

    I called again and they reconfirmed that the receipt number is correct, and yet...the system keeps on telling me that my case doesn't exist. Does anyone know what is going on? Is it only a glitch in the system or should I be worried?

  10. We filed the I-751 to remove conditions for my wife and 21 years old stepdaughter in October 2006 with NOA1 dated 11/1/2006.

    If any VJ members remember...I was very unsure about whether to file my stepdaughter jointly as my wife's dependent child or separately since she was already turned 21 years old. Fortunately we filed them both together jointly and saved money by doing so since my stepdaughter piggybacked on my wife's single fee. My stepdaughter's status is derived through her mother and our marriage regardless of the fact that my stepdaughter was already 21 years old. The proof is in the fact that both were issued Green Cards. This is FYI in case someone else is in a similar situation with an adult child.

    Anyway, I was quite surprised this morning when I called home from work and my wife informed me that the 10 year Green Cards arrived in the mail in separate envelopes and are valid until March 6, 2017.

    I have kept up with the processing times for the I-751 at Texas Service Center and the last update of February 20 (posted as of today) stated that they were currently working on I-751 dated July 25, 2006. So I did not expect any activity on our cases any time soon.

    So...to just get these 10 year Green Cards in the mail without an interview or expectation that they would be issued so soon was quite a shock. We are relieved and happy.

    Unfortunately the USCIS misspelled my stepdaughter's last name by one letter. They spelled it with an "o" instead of an "a". Good grief! Of course we will have to get it corrected.

    Best wishes to all.

    PJ

    Congrats PJ from a G7 buddy :innocent: :innocent: :whistle: :whistle:

  11. westy,

    Why would you want to photocopy the visa pages of your passport for I-751?

    Yodrak

    It's just another photocopy I know many have included. I realize it's not a requirement (in fact very little is truly REQUIRED). It comes down to one of those cases of weighing out offering the bare minimum (not my choice) but also not wanting to overwhelm the USCIS official that will be reviewing the package.

    I can see the visa scan at least being of interest to USCIS since in my package right now NONE of the document I am providing were issued by USCIS except the permanent resident card.

    Anyhow....I'm not gonna sweat it.

    Wish me luck gang....I'll probably send my package tonight or tomorrow morning.

    One last question....did I read that there was an issue using FedEx to deliver to TSC? Since the address is a PO Box? I was planning on using FedEx if possible.

    Thanks!

    Only the US Postal Service can deliver to a PO Box.

    Also Welcome back, starting to recognize some of the old names :innocent: :innocent: :innocent:

  12. Thanks a lot. :thumbs: :thumbs: I have been looking for this answer for a while

    I don't think anything happens when a parent naturalizes, I just researched a bit on this and didn't find anything useful. I believe they will have to file when they turn 18.
    This is just false.

    Look at the law below:

    http://www.schulzlaw.com/mschulz_citz.php

    Derivation of US Citizenship as a Minor through Naturalization of One or Both Parents

    Derivation means that the minor automatically becomes a citizen when the parent or parents naturalize. There is no requirement for the minor to apply to the USCIS for citizenship, instead the minor can apply directly for a US passport.

    After February 27, 2001:

    The child must be unmarried;

    The child must be under 18;

    The child must have at least one US citizen parent (by birth or naturalization);

    The child must be currently residing permanently in the US in the legal and physical custody of the US citizen parent

    The child must be a lawful permanent resident of the US; and

    If adopted, the child must satisfy the requirements applicable to adopted children under US immigration law.

    The child can still do an N-600 to get his or her certificate if they please.
