     Sorry for such late reply.
Documentary Qualified. Means NVC has all necessary Documents to schedule a visa interview. It actually is taking forever, because of a presidential proclamation that trump signed. More  details in the link . I think it is affecting the IR5, I called multiple times to NVC they said everything looks good its the embassy who is not scheduling. Maybe I am wrong too. I cannot think of any other reason why it is taking long for the embassy to schedule.

That is right. The embassy hadn’t been scheduling interviews because of presidential proclamation 10014, which has been revoked as of 2/24/2021 :).

Since you got DQed in April 2020 you might be hearing about the interview date really soon. Good luck!

My dad’s IR5 case got DQed on Oct 19th, 2020 so we will probably be waiting months.

it also depends on the country’s backlog too so that might help us a bit too!

I wonder on what month of the cases they stopped last year.

It should be different for every country right?

Hello, I think I am not in the correct thread. Please direct me to the right thread. Thank you.  I did filed for my parents I 130 January 14, 2020 but I concurrently filed for i485 Adjustment of status, since my parents are here with me. Their cases has been updated to 'Ready to be scheduled for interview' just yesterday. Just wanted to know what possible questions will be asked during their interview so I could give them a heads up. Thank you.

Look for AOS january 2020 thread.

I think it would be interesting to know who’s filing online vs paper and if that’s affecting approvals.
    I did it online.

    Yeah you are right.
I did it through a lawyer and he filer paper. I really would have preferred online especially during COVID.

but I thought ultimately they upload all cases online, i can see the uploaded file on my onlinr account.

Also a Dec 2019 filer - how are you submitting an inquiry? I tried to do it online but it said it is not allowed yet. When I called and spoke to an agent for an update, I was told no changes have been made to their files & that I can call back in 30 days to file an inquiry. Not sure why I need to wait 30 days?!

I did an online inquiry where I selected approval notice not received as suggested in the group before. I was hoping it would initiate some movement, but nothing has changed since May 7th.

I called as well it was useless. Not sure why they are asking you to wait for 30 days. Try doing it online: https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDNForm.do

it didn’t help me, but helped others in the group. May be it will work for you.

Same here, December filer but no movement after may 6. I did inquiry too but no response yet.

No movement since May 7th on my dad’s case.
Who are you filing for? Are your beneficiaries in Pakistan?

My dad is in Pakistan too, do you think it might be bacause of some security clearance that their cases are experiencing delays?
    I am so disappointed 😭

Me too! Applied late Dec and nothing escept a receipt for online payment! Getting worried too seeing as how others who applied much later are already approved. My receipt shows Potomac center.

My receipt shows Nebraska, but I think all the cases were transferred to other SCs. I didn’t get any notification though.
Potomac should be faster so that is good.
I will kep you posted if I hear something.

  7. I am a little confused. The people who are getting i130 approvals, did they apply in 2020 :o?

I thought it took at least a year.
I applied for my dad’s i130 on Dec 12th, 2019. The case went to Nebraska SC, but haven’t heard a thing about his case. I was not even checking cause we thought it would at least take a year, but now that you all are hearing back I am starting to panic. Why haven’t we heard back anything. Should I call USCIS? :(

They have couple of new officers they recruited sometime this year and all training ... so the other agent might just be shadowing the main officer there ... I saw a lots of that when I went for my passport stamping and interview as well...

The officer that interviewed me mentioned that the former conference hall they used for oath ceremony in their office would be converted to open office with cubicles for the newly employed officers

@mymercy can you please help me with the same day passport.

where do you apply? Did you schedule an appointment? What docs did you take? Where is the office?

  9. I am back so that i can provide hope to someone who may be in the same boat as I was and is feeling depressed to the core.

i heard back from my IO yesterday. She called me to tell me that she just received my i751 file and she updated my case and scheduled me for the next available oath and wanted to see if i will be available next Thursday Nov 14th.
She said she was feeling really bad and as soon as she got my file she updated my status right away. I was ecstatic.
i had lost all hope in USCIS, but this IO proves that there are still good people. Instead of letting my file collect dust she was proactive to keep my case flowing.
Thanks to everyone on this forum for all your help.

    I applied on Feb 4th 2019

Interview was on October 24th 2019 at the Irving office

Oath is on November 14th 2019 at the Plano Events Cent

  10. Congratulations to all and thank you so much everyone for sharing your valuable experience and information here. Wish you all the very best in the future too.

I don’t want to bring anyone down, but it has been 8 days since my interview and I still continue to wait while my status still says “interview scheduled”.

I talked to my lawyer and she said since my i751 case was approved and I had an unconditional GC they dont even need my file. Lol. I hope they dont keep waiting for something that will never show up. 🤣 i am trying to keep my spirits up and not feel depressed, but it is quite a challenge. I am squeaky clean no arrests, not even a single parking ticket in 10 yrs. Dont know what I am being punished for. I will keep you all posted.
