  1. I just read edp333's response and I realised how my response could possibly be misinterprited so I wanted to clear up that I meant that I hope the result is a good one :) Bad choice of words on my part, and as edp333 said, I hope the tests come back as negative and all is well.

I was thinking along the same thing about my response as we posted within too minutes of each other. I guess it depends on how the reader interprets our responses. You were hoping the news is positive and I was hoping the test results show no illness. Both responses show well wish for Rachel and we hope Jim and Rachel can be united soon!

As they say in the phils, May God bless.

Thank you all for your support, Your comments are well understood edp and C and J.

Rachel and I have stayed positive about this situation. As we all know, our journey's have all run into some road blocks along the way, ours ran pretty smooth thus far, aside from the delays with uscis, which is understandable considering the influx of applications uscis wasn't equipped to handle, so this is a short wait for us, and I am sure things will turn out ok.

From what I understand, they saw something suspicious in her x-ray. That doesn't really mean much. Could be anything. We are guessing it was probably scar tissue from her asthma she one had, but to be safe they wanted the sputum test.

According to what I have read on the net.

"Once the sputum sample is collected, it will be placed in a container with substances (growth medium or culture medium) that promote the growth of infecting organisms (bacteria or fungi). The organism that causes tuberculosis may take 6 weeks to grow."

So at least we got a jump on it by taking an early medical. I would suggest to anyone starting this process, to have there spouse or fiance take a pre-test. If you should be found to have positive results, You will have to undergo 6 to 8 months of treatment before you can be issued a visa.

Lastly (for now), to Rachel, Keep the faith, I know your a strong woman, and never forget I am always here for you, Your Loving Husband, James

  2. Interview date 01/09/2008 (7:30am)

Rachel did her seminar today, had passport pictures taken and also got a new NBI record.

Because of such a long delay at USCIS, her NBI was getting to be outdated.

She will go for an early medical in the days to come.

    Good luck to all,

    James and Rachel

  3. We received our interview date of February 6 last night.

I agree it is better to have plenty of proof. It is much easier to carry documents into the Embasy than to get put on AR and have to provide more proof.

    Congratulations edp333

I agree, more is better. I think my wifes file is 6 inches thick already, but, if they ask for something, I am sure she will have it.

She is in Manila now hoping to get an early medical and also do the seminar before the interview.

This should help her wait time seem to go by faster.

    Good luck to all

    James and Rachel

  4. Get also her passport type photos taken while you are there. Will save some time if you don't have to wait for them to be snail mailed. Most everything else you might need can be e-mail to you. My wife also did her NBI check early so I could submit the document with our petition.

Also take plenty of pictures together. We had a photographer and videographer do our wedding.

  5. Hi All and congratulations to all that have made it this far,

Our case has been forwarded to the Manila Embassy on 11/15/2007. I am not sure how to find out if it has been received there yet, except to check the Embassy website to see if there is an appointment date.

My wife Rachel and I are so happy to have made this far after all the delays we have all seen in the past months. It certainly has been a good test of how strong a Love we have for each other. A BIG "Thank you" to my wife, for being so patient through all these months. Also a BIG Thank You to visajourney for answering allot of question we didn't even have to ask.

And one last thing (for now), Good Luck Rachel, in preparing for your upcoming interview. If I can not be there with you, My Heart (L) will.

    James

  6. I'm 4months into my I-130 and 2 months into my I-129F. I realize some of you have waited longer and are far more frustrated than I am, but hoping someone can tell me how I can get through to CSC. Is there a phone number I can call? I didn't send in ALL pages of my passport, only the ones with stamps on them, and want to call the service center to ask about sending in evidence before it's even asked for. But for the life of me I can't find a number for the CSC.

    CSC # 800-375-5283

  7. No one is ever there when I look

This room was just created Oct.31,2007 at around 11:00pm edt. so I wouldn't expect allot of people there to start. We are all in different time zones and different schedules etc. But I am sure if people start going there and hanging out while your browsing visa journey, the room will start getting a little busy soon. 8. I woke up this morning and much to my surprise,, an e-mail from "CRIS" at 1:00am eastern time

On October 23, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E).

It was nice that my wife Rachel happen to be online so we could share the news together.

We didn't get any touches before this since June and our I-130 wasn't touched yet.

At last, this part or our journey is almost over and soon can be reunited with my wife.

Good luck to all those waiting and congrats to all those who have been approved.

  9. It has been crazy! and I am afriad that it is going to get worse trying to wait for the government to move the papers.

But good news for now. . . finally what I have been waiting for. . . . update me please! I got my I129F approved. It was weird because I usually saw everyone get 3 days of touches before the notice. . . but I saw them finally touch the papers today in the morning. . . and then, I get the update at 10pm! that it was approved.

Don't really know what that really means but, I will call my abogado tomorrow.

    Thanks

  10. I just called Marivic in Makati to tell her I just got the email from CHRIS our I129F is APPROVED what great news

congrats chabo......... great news.. I am in hopes now Rachel and I will be approved soon. We have almost the exact timeline. Keep us posted on any updates,, Jim

  11. They are definitely processing by noa1 dates of I130s, they don't seem to take the I129s into account. Which is of course a good thing

Do you think it could be received date which ours is 04/12/07? Because our NOA date was May 9, 2007. I think their looking at received date of the NOA. But, who really knows.......

According to the NOA1on both I-129f and I-130, it states in the notice,

"We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done, counting from when USCIS received it."

But your right, who knows how they pick them from the pile.

And looking at G & A's chart, our petition should be at least touched again soon. That would be a blessing since tomorrow will be 6 months since I sent my petition in, and 4 months since it got a touch.

Congrats to all who have gotten their NOA2 already. Jim

  12. We are right here waiting with you. Fill out your timeline and we will all get a more accurate estimate from the visa journey timelines. It will estimate the dates of your NOA2. It also lets others know if you are close to them in filing or not. We like to look out for each other and if we see someone approved from the same country and around our date, we know we are close.

Good luck to all of us here. I have been following the march thread for months now, and finally that is almost finished. Good luck to all of us!
