You’re a lot better off if you marry and she enters the US on an immigrant visa.
She could spend a lot of time over in France with you, especially if you’re on assignment with a US company.
Since that's not an option that I've researched do you know how she would be able to stay with me there after we married

It’s a reentry permit .. but she would have to have a GC .. K1 through to GC is 15 to 18 months .. and I’m just not sure how she would go at the AOS interview if she was in the US and you were visiting for short periods ...
I see. Thanks for all the answers and insight! I will speak with a lawyer soon and see what the official best option is but nice to hear and understand more from the community!

It's a two-year assignment with six-month turnaround trips 4 week and I will also have vacation weeks so of course she could come and the country I'm going to is France by the way
I think there is a form I can fill out that will allow her to stay abroad with me while she's waiting on her adjustment or green card but I forget the phone number

But I don't know what kind of visa she would need to stay with me there that long

Can she accompany you to the place of your assignment ? Marry ASAP , file for spouse visa ,by the time the visa is processed your 12 month assignment will be done .. move back to the US together .. she gets the GC at entry .. no adjustment of status needed. 😁

For approx 6 months or longer, she will be in state of limbo (no legal status) without the ability to work...and possibly without the ability to drive, open a bank account, drive, etc........

She's in a different country for school then her home country so right now she has nobody and here she would have her sister

Aside from legal status she lives like that now and I make plenty of money

She can freely within the US. She cannot leave the US until either getting AP or Green Card.
If that is the case then she also has a sister that lives in a different state so she would have 2 places that she could go then

No harm in trying....
That said, what's the plan if it works? Marry in the US within 90 days then move abroad for the work assignment?
We're already apart so it would just be a little bit longer time apart but maybe speaking with an immigration lawyer would yield some other benefits

Let's say you got approved yesterday and she moves to the US now. She will be alone while you live abroad. She can't drive, work or travel. Is that what you are asking to do?
Well we filled out the Visa before I got the assignment so I'm just asking some general questions. I thought after we are married she could freely travel in the United States but also she could probably stay with my parents as that will be my place of residence

Thank you for your response! I will be going to work on a US bought military plane in an other country. Could one argue that is in national security interest if they are our ally?
Oh I think I had it turned around in my head then as she would need to qualify under one of those and not me. Got it

I filled out a K-1 visa for my fiance but I have since learned I will be going on a long-term work assignment. I am a defense contractor for a major Aerospace company and my home address and pay will still be in the u.s. I will just be on International assignment. Would that qualify for expedition? Thank you for your time

Yes but doesn't she get a green card after a long period Of time? Marrying me doesn't grant a green card
