    Hi, I’m new here but was reading your awesome news!!! My daughter applied for the K1 back in March 2020 and still have not received approval from USCIS but I’m hoping she’s close.  Our concern is that embassy in Santo Domingo is not open for interviews once they get that far but you seem to have had an interview approved recently. congratulations!!!

    How long after USCIS approved and sent your case to The NVC did it take for you to hear from embassy for appointment?  Was the Dr. visit fairly fast and easy?  Thank you for any information... my daughter is anxious and doesn’t know what to expect with everything going on 😩

      Hi! Well I don't think the embassy is officially open yet, I think they are working on emergency cases or spousal visas. I am honestly not sure how I got my interview (maybe because they're quietly working on rescheduling interviews that got cancelled? We already had an interview scheduled for April 2020, so that might be the case). It took about 3 weeks after our NOA2 to hear from the NVC and the embassy but keep in mind that that was before the pandemic during normal processing times. Right now they are dealing with a lot of backlog and will probably take a lot longer. I know of a few cases that have been stuck at the NVC for almost a year now! There are Facebook and Whatsapp groups of people in the same situation as your daughter in the DR, maybe she should join for emotional support and/or to see if anyone has any updates :) I can send you a link to the facebook one.
