I'm still a long way from NVC processing, but in the meantime I want to get all my documents prepared
A question about the photograph:
Does this have to be a scan of one of the photos that you will supply at the interview/medical? Or can it be any recent photo scanned in, or can you take a photo on your phone and upload?
Thanks

Yes us too, we expected that we would get Texas since it’s geographically closest, but come to find out it actually has nothing to do at all with location on where we get sent, total guessing game.. can’t remember who but I remember someone here was in the same state as Potomac service center and still got sent to Nebraska
You'd think that load balancing would be prudent.

I recently sent the I-130 pack to the Phoenix lockbox. Being in Florida, I had every expectation that TSC would service my petition, a shock when I got notified that the NSC would handle my case.

Simplifying the process would be OP fill in i130A and check 7.a under Part 6.
My wife completed the I-130A two weeks ago. It's important that the intending immigrant be fully immersed in the entire process. Ultimately they know the answers to the questions poised on this form. As the spouse, it was my job to view before submission.

You are the same person that filed the I-130, so the instructions say sign part 6 if different, which you are not. To simplify have your spouse complete the I-130A and simply email you the PDF when complete for review, better yet upload to the cloud and you can check it there before you download and print.

The I-130A is only for your spouse to sign and date if they're in the U.S., not for the petitioner to sign/date.
Color or Black & White copy?
in US Embassy and Consulate Discussion
Posted
My apologies if this topic has previously been addressed.
Just starting the IR1/CR1 process, but wanting to get document and procedural ducks in a row.
Can you supply a black & white photocopy of documents at the interview, or must they be color? For example, is a black & white copy of a birth certificate or passport acceptable?
Thanks
