Then in # 22 i got RFE when i didnt not include the years for past 10 years that i dont have JOB.. but some didn't got RFE whn they only listed the employed years in 10 years.. i think to be safe include also the unemployed years as long as it covers the past 10 years to make sure..

I think its better to know what really the reason why u got another RFE in ur AOS thn ask them wat you shall do .. Its good that you will prepare the documents ahead of time. And hope u can find Shortcut in AOS here also..

What i did in my RFEd DS230 was used the shortcut Chris Parker had posted.. My husband called the NVC usually in the evening around 9pm-12mn then 7am in the morning to talked to the live operator. We got in advance the reason why we get RFE then print new DS230 and reflected what the live operator told us then send them the RFEd DS230 w/o waiting the actual document coming from NVC..

This A2D thing is the only thing that is bothering me, it seems like such a random code, i dunno weather to leave as A2D or change it to something even more random! I have no idea.. A2D.. hmmm what on earth

The A2D is not random. Myself and greeneclipse both got AMV in the footer. It may be the reviewer's initials or employee code or something. I sent in my RFE reply using A2D when it should have been AMV, so we still have to see how they handle that.

For the final form and instructions, I'm putting AZX down there as a nonsense code to force them to lookup the correct code, if they look at it at all.

My Answer was N/A because I did not change my name when I got married and I do not use any other names.

You have to write ALL names used, for example if your married full name is MARY JANE DOE- SMITH. Your other names should be MARY DOE, MARY J. DOE, MARY JANE DOE

I agree with Rina on this.. Even me got RFE here even i put my full maiden name.. NVC want that you will put all names u used when ur still single and until u got married.

Actually u can have the K3 interview and request for the CR1 visa as what Rina said.. But u can't replace the K3 interview with CR1 interview.. If you will take the K3 interview you will be paying the $100.

If I'm on ur shoes i do prefer to take the CR1 interview instead of K3, since in K3 you will just wasting $100..

Michael: My wife called up the US Embassy and was told otherwise. She was told that if the CR1 is scheduled and received, the K3 will be canceled but the CR1 will not be moved up to the scheduled K3 interview date. I love how their info people give misinformation. I'll have my wife call back maybe later this week to give time for her CR1 file to reach the US Embassy

I have the same situation as you...I already have a Nov 8 interview date for the K-3, and my CR-1 is waiting approval at NVC. I too was wondering, so I called the Department of State and they said this "Your K-3 will AUTOMATICALLY change to a CR-1 once the Embassy receives your CR-1...provided it gets there before your K-3 intervew.

After reading all the replies in this thread made me feel more sad.. What we are wishing is to be together on Thanksgiving or Christmas with our husband/wife.. But with this, that until now we still not received our corrected DS230 from NVC ("as what they said that they sent it last Sept26.. but why until now my husband didn't have it yet)

I now doubt that this wish will not come TRUE I'm afraid that our interview date will be at the end of December..we Hope and Pray that it will not be the case And we can still ride on the November interview date...

No sis, still no good news. You may have misunderstood Jayzar, coz she got her case completed by NVC a couple of days ago. About my case, they are insisting I need to send those documents, the same ones they had lost. I just re-submitted my DS230 electronically to them. Stubborn that I am, I refused and never agreed with them that I will comply with sending them again the documents and wait for that missing checklist in the mail. I'm still on a fight with NVC on that!

Ohh i thought u finally case complete.. Hopefully by Tuesday sis we will hear good news coming from them..

My husband called NVC again the time when i was in Manila and she talked to Liz one of the operator there in NVC.. He said that he made Liz almost cry.. (maybe because he already yelling coz of disappointment) He said that yes NVC doing their Job but they don't know that they ruining people's live by delaying the process of approval and he even asked Liz if she is already married, and how she will feel if she is in our shoes that been waiting too long but until now still apart with our love ones.. He suggested that NVC should make clear instruction so that people will not get confuse and will be guided accordingly in filling up DS23O since some of it is so vague and at the same time he told her why NVC not send all the forms at once and give instruction how much payment they need and will not process until fully pay all. Instead of sending forms one after the other... And he asked also why so far there's no petition got approved in our batch.. and why they are finding little fault so that it will delay the processing..

I did sacrificed my K3 interview since i want the CR1.. and for sure even though i had last oct 5 it will be useless since for sure consul will advise that i will just go back when i have already the CR1 schedule.. Since it didnt have good timing w/ our CR1.. Just need lots prayer that NVC will get faster in their processing and not ruin people's life.. Just want to post my experienced in medical exam..

Unfortunately i had from Sept 26-27 and Oct 1 to 4. You need to prepare a 2x2 picture based on the specification on you packet coming from USEM.

On the first day i have my X-Ray, Laboratory Test (Blood and Urine Test), Vital Statistic, height and weight determination then the eye test, Immunization History Interview, Medical Exam- here all applicants are asked to disrobe completely..

Unfortunately on my X-ray(back view) they found suspicious (they found something in my upper right lungs) so i was advised to have another X-Ray in lateral view so i had additional fee of P322 aside from the $95 i paid earlier.

On the second day i was instructed to come back around 1:30pm so i went there around 12:30pm. Here instruction are given for additional test ir requirements are given and scheduled accordingly depending on the presence of pertinent findings. Unfortunately during this time while waiting for my result i was called on the 2nd floor that was around 2:30pm that i can go home then an i need to undergo sputum test for 3 consecutive days (Oct 1-3) early in the morning from 6:30-8:30.. So i only did this thing for 3 days.. Normally if they will not seen any abnormalities on ur X-ray u will not undergo this.. I just wonder since almost 25% had the sputum test.. This was hard for me since im not coughing and i need to give them flem on that 3 consecutive day.. But anyway i did..

On Oct 4 they advised me to come back around 1:30pm again for pulmonary evaluation (this time the Doctor will explain to you why u had undergo sputum test and wat is the result of the lab test) Thank God that the findings on me is negative for TB.. (im 100% for since i don't drink and smoke either i never exposed on people who have this disease) the doctor advised me that i just be careful with my lungs..

I finished my pulmonary evaluation around 2:30 thn wait again to be called for immunization.. This is the part i waited for 5 hours b4 my name was called just to have one shot(vaccine) this is for chickenpox.. they will give u shot if they cant find any scares that u had it before..I had my chickenpox at the age of 17 but since they didn't find any scare so i had given vaccine of it.. (U need to bring something to read so that u will not get bored in this long time of waiting) Then after that was releasing, takes another 3 hours before i finally finished all. They will return to u the X-Ray Film and the immunization form.. SLEC is the one who will forward to US Embassy the result of ur medical and they get ur passport to attached in it (In releasing section they will ask again 2x2 id pix).

But normally medical Exam takes 2 days only if they will not seen anything on the test or X-ray..

And with regard to my K3 interview i requested it to moved to mid-nov to catch up with my CR1.. The agent said that i will wait for another appointment letter that will be sent by USEM.. Since i do prefer to have my CR1 visa rather than K3 visa..

Sorry to hear this.. Why NVC doing this.. I hope ur case will be ok after u call the supervisor.. If they lose the document thn its thr fault.. This is so unfair on ur part.. Why NVC try to delay our case until now no one yet got case complete in our Batch who had submitted DS230 last Sept 24-28. Even Jayzar who got RFE and case complete now still waiting for the the nterview date.. NVC still not schedule it..

Does it so hard for them if families will be together and be happy.. And they finding ways to delay our case.. GRRRRR...

Im now having my medical here in SLEC Manila. Then i met a girl who is having her medical also and advised by doctor to have her psyche evaluation. Since she had a past that coz her to cut herself in both wrist that happend 3 years ago.

When the doctor asked her why she had those clean cut in her both wrist, she answerd her that she did it whn she was young they had blood compact with her friend (she lied since she dont want to brought it up) but unfortunately the the doctor who had conducted medical exam to her didnt believed her and advised her to have a psyche evalution.

She is now worried to get deny in the USEM coz she lied to the doctor.. I advised her that she need to tell the truth when she will talk with the psychologist during her psyche evaluation and tell her the reasons why she didnt told the medical doctor the real story of it..

Did u know any one got denied coz of psychological problem?

Yes Aurea is right its a case to case basis..

I notice that some got RFE coz of No police clearance some wil not eventhough they dont submit one.. some dont got RFE in #22 w/o filling the years where u still not working some got RFE RFE with this.. and this is in my case..

NVC is not consistent.. I really depends on who review ur case..

There are lots of RFE cases here in VJ. In Ness and Keith case. She had an RFE because of #2.And she was asked to put the initials of her maiden name. In my case its different. This really is a case to case basis. As i've posted earlier it depends upon the person reviewing your case. So When you receive your RFE checklist, you have to ask NVC what the missing informations are.

hmm.. looks like i have to sleep more and earlier than i usually do to have the 29th day sept come and have my hubby call NVC to check the status of the my DS230....

it's already the 2nd time we submitted it to them, the second along with the civil docs already.. but the first time i was RFE'd, what they noticed is just a blank space in #6 and 2-province field..

just yesterday, i read a thread about answering Q#2: other names used ( if married give maiden name)....

stupid me (hahaha) i didn't write in my maiden name and just put in N/A.. NVC didn't care about it and didn't mark it w/ red pen upon returning it back to us..

im hanginng now.... just like what Rina told me - hope i get a more lenient checker this time...

my hubby jay and i were not calling NVC yet.. we'll wait for the 29th of sept.... hahaha

il say a prayer for us girls.. the tiniest thing i can do that brings wonderful effect..

i just want to ask for if its necessary for the I134(affidavit of support), W2, Form 1040 to be original? or does it ok if its only a scanned then printed.. Since my husband send this in the NVC when they asked for it for our I864...

All the rest in my document is original (marriage certificate (NSO), B Certificate (NSO), NBI Clearance) aside from the doc mentioned above..

Any one here put visa in hold at USEM-Manila since not original submitted...

Do you have your CR1 interview date already? and about ur K3 when will be schedule interview date? Want to know what happen to ur case for sure this will help if what should i do with mine

This is what im planning to do:

A. I will request a CR1 visa in my K3 interview on Oct. 05 to the CO.

or

B. I will call USEM after visa completed in NVC and ask them if i can have a CR1 interview instead in replace to my K3 interview on Oct. 5.. If this is possible even if they only have the electronic copy of my case..

Hoping and praying that our case will be completed on Sept 24 in NVC.

Please update us if what happen to your case and what did you do.. I will highly appreciate it..

i have a question. if a k3 visa has been granted and the cr1 case is already in the embassy with a set interview date, will the k3 visa holder be able to go to the US and then jsut come back for her cr-1 interview? i know the practical advice would be to just wait for the cr-1 interview and visa but there is a very impt event that my wife would like to attend but she wont be able to if she waits for the cr-1 visa.

is there any potential negative consequence if she goes through with this?

also for those who are applying for the cr/ir visa for their spouse in the philippines, i spoke to 3 different NVC reps on Sept. 14 and all told me the same info:

cut off for processing interviews for the following month is on the 2nd week of the previous month and embassy in manila conducts interviews throughout the month. unfortunately for us, our case was completed late sept. 14th and thus we weren't able to secure an Oct. interview slot=(. hence my initial question.

This is one of my concern also since i lived in 3 cities.. My Husband already submitted our DS230 package and we only send NBI... And now we are praying and crossing fingers that we will not encounter any problem for not having Police Clearance. Actually before we send the form i sent PM to some of our fellow pinay with case complete. Some encounter same problem with U putting it into RFE for not having the Police Clearance but some didnt encounter any problem for not having one and only submitted NBI..

I'm just confused why NVC has no uniform requirements. Why they didn't required it to some and giving some hard time with some .. If you will try to read it in their website it stated there that Police Clearance only necessary if we lived outside the country.. Its so ridiculous that we need to go to all the cities we lived just to get Police Clearance. Why they not just consider the NBI since this covers all

My Husband also received that one and he scanned and sent it to me.. That was before we received our IV Bill from NVC.. What we did was we just ignored it..Since we are still waiting for our IV Bill thats why we cant send our DS230..

I think NVC send that form to those who didn't send their DS230 yet.. Im not sure if we need to use the address on that checklist, but we use the address in the jame's shortcut when we send our DS230.

1st page- "Checklist" next to the barcode; above the petitioner's name

2nd page- barcode coversheet; send to NVC ATTN DR

3rd page- Missing Document (OF-230-I)
