No, we weren't approved at the interview. My husband didn't have the correct police certificate. We had one from Managua but they wanted one from his home town. We submitted it the next day and confirmed it was received by the consulate. We have been waiting since. Since they were closed July4-6 it probably has them behind. Try not to worry too much. It's so hard to go through this! We are not doing a K1 visa. We have been married for 16+years with kids and grandkids and my husband's absence is heartbreaking to all of us. This entire process is difficult no matter which visa you're applying for. People have no idea unless they live it and the fact that they never communicate with you in plain language or give you any information to help you understand what is going on make this so much more difficult. I pray all will be well with you and yours!

Hi, i am wondering how it's end because a year later we are in the same situation like yours. He had the police certificate from Managua but they need it from his city. Almost two month later he still in administrative processing. How long took yours husband passport to be issued??

  2. My husband had his interview in Managua on May 8th, i was with him and the consul said "congratulations" yet "he needs a police paper from his natal city (Esteli) before i send all this paper to issues his green card" (he showed the police record from Managua). So he sent the paper and his passport next day, and the embassy got them by may 10th since then the only information is that they still "reviewing" the papers. The last two updates June 3th and 7th says "Ready" but ready for interview. When I call to have more info they just says still reviewing  the papers and I have to wait for an email. I would like to know if someone had the same experience in Managua and what else i can do ??
