Hey y'all!
So I'm the beneficiary of a CR1 atm, and I read that you had to sign all of the documents prepared with ink.
If so, how does that work? Do I print it, sign it and then send it in?
What if I am abroad? do I print it, sign it, scan it and then send it in?
How does all of the signing work in this?
Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the help guys, I have plenty of other evidence, such as a big photoalbum, including descriptions, facebook posts etc

Hello everyone, when trying to prove a Bona Fide Marriage through affidavit of support letters
Do the people who write the letters need to sign it physically or can they just write their name on the document and call it a day? Thanks for the help

Hello everyone, (Beneficiary)
I am a dual citizen of both Japan and Denmark, when I supply the I-130 package with my passport info, do I have to include both?
Do I have to find someway to include that I have a passport from both countries?
Or does it make no difference and should I just roll with my Danish info only?
Thanks for the help

So my Birth Certificate is in Danish but I found out that I can get it in English too.
If its in English I assume everything is good, but does it HAVE to be photocopied?
Can I send it electronically to my Wife and have her print it?
Thanks for the help.

Here's what we provided. Never any email, chats, or affidavits.
1Evidence of bona fide relationship/marriage
A short summary of our story (how/where we met, where/when I proposed, where/when we got married etc.)
Flight itineraries & boarding passes showing trips taken together or to visit each other
Photos of visits/travels as a couple and with family & friends
Receipt for engagement/wedding rings
Photos of our wedding party event with family & friends
Sounds good my friend, Thank you for the info I appreciate it, This puts my worries to rest 😛

What other evidence are you providing?
There really isnt an abudance of evidence during that period, We sent pictures.
All I can think of is an Affidavit of Support from my family members and friends to show that we were in a relationship during that period, and pictures of course.

We have been married for 8 months and been together for 2 years

That would be a non issue provided you have other types of evidences in 2- yr history.
Do you think pictures we sent to each other during that period and Affidavit of supports would be enough?
What are some supplementary evidence I could provide?
Thanks for the help

Hey again
So I want to prove that my marriage is Bonafide, my wife and I have been together for 2 years now, and no matter how hard I try,
I cant retrieve my old chat logs with her on Snapchat or Messenger Skype and all of that, If I send my I-130 Package with a timeline that starts in the middle of our relationship instead of the start
Will that seem suspicious? Is it ok as long as I provide our chat as it is without it having to be in a timeline?
What do y''all think?
Thanks in advance.

I can’t!! Haha so we are moving to MO in 2 weeks. Way to hot and humid for us in GA.
The heat is lovely, except in August, then it's about time where it gets unhealthy to stay outside.
As for the Birth Certificate, is it fine if I order one to my E-boks so my wife can print it? Or do we need a physically signature from an official to prove it's real?
Or should I order one to my wifes address?Or go pick it up in person?
Im sure they are all valid, I just want to be extra careful with this process 😛

Police record is for the interview so not yet but when time for that then you just walk into the police station and ask for it and if everything is fine on it they will print it right away.
The church office has to be the one you belong too so you can call the nearest one and they will tell you. Yes they will print out and stamp the couple you wish for (I got 3) and it will be in danish and English at the same time so ready to use for immigration.
I don't have my birth certificate in hand right now? Do I need to bring it for them to print it? or do they have it stored in their data base?
When you say local church office I'm not quite sure what you mean, I live in Copenhagen, so do I just call one of the churches? Or can I call borgerservice to figure out which one I belong to?
Thanks again for the help.

No you are fine they are already in both danish and English and therefor you will not need it translated just like the police record.
Do I need to send my police record in the I-130 package too? If so do I just retrieve that at my local police station?
And for the local church office, do I just go into any church and request my birth certificate? How exactly does it work to just get it printed out in English?

Go down to your local church office and get a free copy of it in danish/English. It will be a combo. Ask for a couple as you will be using a couple of them in this journey.
Hey! Do they give out a certificate that proves their competence as a translator? Or any of that sort?
I'm headed to Georgia too btw!
Thanks for the help people

Hey y'all
My birth certificate is in Danish, I've read somewhere that you need to have it officially translated if foreign.
Is there any USCIS approved specific website for that? (I assume some random person cant go ahead and translate it and call it a day)
Thanks in advance for the help as usual!
Kind regards, Fornbey

You should stufy the guides section of this web site. https://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1/
1. Financial support evidence comes at the NVC stage.
2. Read the guides
3. How will she give birth in the US? The CR-1 process is 12-18 months from filing to visa in hand.
4. Not true.
I think you have gotten some very bad information.....READ the GUIDES!!!!! Good luck......
Hi Missileman, thanks for the reply.
To clarify my wife is the US Citizen so she will give birth in the US, I am the beneficiary.
I will however read the guides, thanks for the tip!
And thank you for your service
I plan on joining the Army the moment I have my CR1 approved!
Kind regards Fornbey

Hi everyone, I just have a few questions regarding the CR1, any help is much appreciated!
1: I am getting sponsored, Do I put that in the I-130 package somehow? or is that a different stage? (Do you mail it at a later time?) Same with Tax Returns of that sponsor.
2: On average how long does an affidavit of support have to be?
3: My wife is pregnant and we plan her giving birth in the US, besides adding ultrasound and baby info in the I-130 package, is there anything else I need to be wary of?
4: I heard somewhere you might have to take an American History test or an American knowledge test for the interview or at some stage, is that still valid and if so what do I have to study for?
Again, any help is much appreciated, and thank you to all of you who take the time to help other folks!
Kind regards Fornbey

Hi! My husband submitted the I130 for me in October while I was pregnant and we added to the peckage US images of the baby as well and a letter with the expected due date (March 19) as a proof of marriage bonafit.
We both are overseas, did CBRA in the Brazil consulate and it took 2 weeks to my daughter get the US citizienship and passport. All the instructions are on the website of your country US consulate.
Where do you live?
I live in Denmark, My wife is the US Citizen, When your child was born did you send any additional info? Or did you just leave it as it is?

If you are a US citizen, maybe consider giving the child citizenship and getting a Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CBRA).
And if I were you, I would probably include it along with my I-130 package as of now. Just a photo and that you are expecting the child on XXX date and as a citizenship you will be reporting the birth or something.
Once the child is born, consider the CBRA because it took us a month to get my son US citizenship in Switzerland.
Hope this helps?
Thanks for the help guys, How do I count it in at the NVC Stage? Do I just Email the NVC the birth certificate and the child info?
And is there a speficifc income requirement for a household of 3? We are getting sponsored so will that affect or change the rules of income requirements?
Thanks again for the help

it doesn't matter where the beneficiary is, it is an obligation to file the i130 when it's a spousal visa. the i130 and i130A are filed together or you will get an RFE. the baby isn't counted as a person until he or she is born. so you will count it at the nvc stage and add the child on the information and send the birth certificate. and it will affect the case because you will need to fill out he affidavit of support and make enough money for a household of 3.

Hey y'all, I just wanted to ask if submitting an I-130a helps as additional info on the beneficiary's part or if its completely unnecessary since the beneficiary is overseas.
Also, my wife is pregnant and is awaiting a child, and we plan on submitting the I-130 package before she gives birth, do I have to notify anyone on this? any letters? Would I add ultrasound photos of our baby into the package?
When she does give birth and it is in the middle of our case being handled will it affect the case in anyway?
Thank you in advance for any help I can get!
Kind Regards Fornbey :)

I read that if I live outside of the US I don't have to sign the documents.
Is this true?
