Hola a todos.

El dia 02 de febrero mi novio envio los papeles para empezar con la visa k1... ya de por si ando muy ansiosa, espero que todo salga bien. tengo algunas dudas que espero me puedan resolver.

Sobre los antecedentes que solicitan. Son, Penals? Policiales? Judiciales? Lei que deben de tener una leyenda especial, algo de un codigo 51 (o algo asi) me lo pueden explicar?

por otro lado, que tiempo de vigencia tienen dichos documentos y cuando creen ustedes que seria conveniente comenzar a tramitarlos? al llegar el NOA2 o cuando me llega el paquete a casa?

por otro lado, yo tengo doble nacionalidad Peruana-Argentina. Naci y vivi en Peru por muchos años. Soy nacionalidaza por opcion (hija de Argentino). Yo me estoy presentando a la visa como argentina, ya que no uso mas mis documentos peruanos y solo me manejo con pasaporte argentino (incluso cuando voy a peru, ingreso como turista, ya que no tengo mas el pasaporte peruano porque se me vencio hace mucho). Entonces, obviamente mi partida de nacimiento la tengo que solicitar en Peru (por lo que no tengo ningun problema hacerlo, es un tramite mas), pero estaba pensando, quiza deberia adjuntar la carta cuidadania (documento donde indica que me dieron la nacionalidad argentina) ya que no puedo presentar una partida de nacimiento argentina. Ustedes que piensan? yo digo, es mejor que sobren documentos a que falten. O quiza no deberia adjuntar algo adicional de lo que me van a solicitar. Alguna sugerencia?

Te recomendaria esperar un poco. Cuando tu caso pase a la embajada en Argentina, ahi te van a mandar un paquete de instrucciones con detalles sobre el pedido de antecendentes, que son los antecendentes penales pero en las mismas instrucciones te diran donde ir y con que formulario. Podes ir pidiendo el certificado de nacimiento en Peru, ya que van a querer una partida de nacimiento, pero en tu lugar tambien adjuntaria la carta de ciudadania.

My friends had a very hard time with it, even friends that I consider fluent I just had to take the Tasks test and then took college level english courses as part of the Texas core classes so I didn't have to take the Toefl.

I was an active member when we were going through the process but it's been a while. Justin and I have been married for over 7 years and have two wonderful children: a very active 5 year old boy, and a sweet 2 year old girl. We recently relocated from Texas to California because Justin accepted a job offer in the bay area. We are all doing great. I became a citizen in May after a few years of procrastinating Glad the process is behind us!

Hey there. I just received my letter for the interview. So It will be on june 20th at 10am.

I have a question. When they ask to bring several documents that I already put with my application, should I ask for new original birth certificate, marriage certificate etc... to bring to the interview?

Yes, that is my understanding - bring the originals of the papers they are requesting. That is what I did but the officer only asked for my green card and ID (drivers license)

Interview approved!

It was quick and super easy. The officer asked me to read a sentence, and then write a sentence she dictated. Then she asked

-Who wrote the declaration of independence?

-Name a state that borders with Mexico

-Who is the commander in chief of the military?

-What are the two main political parties of the United States?

She told me I would receive a letter with the appointment for the oath, and reminded me that I'm still a resident until the oath ceremony.

It wont make a difference if someone else is there or not. But just to let y'all know, I (the US citizen husband) was allowed to go in to the interview. Am glad I could, because the interviewing officer was making a huge mistake that would have affected my wife's name and I set him straight on it and the issue was reviewed with the senior person and corrected right there. That was the case in Memphis anyway.... I think most times it is not allowed to accompany the one seeking to naturalize. God just took care of things for us though.

What type of mistake was they officer going to make?

I have my citizenship interview scheduled for the 15th. I feel prepared and my husband asked for the day off so we could go together with our 2 children...and he got scheduled to travel for work that week. He can't get out of it either.

Did anyone go to the interview by themselves? Do you feel it affected the outcome?

Can he do that if he was not supposed to be in the country to begin with? Also, how can he prove he is having bad dreams? Or that the bad dreams are the result of the "inappropriate" response from the EMT?

*Baby Update*

We welcomed little Julia Rachel on May 27th, 5:14 pm. She weighed 8.08 lbs and measured 20.5 inches.

She is a really good baby, eating well and sleeping as well as you can ask from a newborn . Justin and I are over the moon with her

Birth story:

Background: Sebas, our oldest, was a natural birth - birthing center birth turned to transfer and csection after 36 hours of labor, 6 hours of pushing. (Yeah, it was terrible!)

This time we decided to try for a vbac (vaginal birth after csection) if everything was looking favorable.

May 26th 11 pm I was having cramps that were coming regularly, but were not painful. Everything progressed very quickly and at 1 am I told Justin I think we're in labor!. Contractions were 5 min apart. At 3 am contractions were still 5 mins apart but were painful to the point that I was having trouble concentrating through them, so we called our OB and she said to head to the hospital. We packed the car with everything including Sebas who was happy as could be to have a little midnight adventure

When we got to the hospital we were already 5 cms. Got the IV and later the epidural, which was heaven My mother in law drove from Houston (3 hours away) to pick up Sebas from the hospital and watch him, so after she arrived and Sebas was taken care of, Justin and I slept until it was time to push. 1 hour and 12 pushes later, Julia was out We got to have skin to skin contact, then later they took her in for weight and medications, brought her back, she nursed like a champ and went to sleep. Recovery has been so much easier this time around, and we are thankful for a great birth experience and another healthy baby

Our family is now complete!

Hi moms!

We're 31 weeks today and starting to feel heavy, but overall doing good. We passed the glucose test, baby's measuring right on track and moving a lot...keeping me up at night

@Reeses

1) I would add onesies on NB (only a few, babies outgrow these very quickly), 0-3M and 3-6M. Lanolin cream for you. Diaper rash cream, and a baby carrier.

2) Hospital grade pumps are big, I'm not sure it would be practical traveling with one. I would invest in a good double electrical breast pump, like a Medela, Ameda or Lansinoh.

3) Can't help you here, we used disposables.

Congrats Reeses!! and welcome to the mommy club, you're in for a crazy ride

I started separating some of Sebas' baby clothes to consign (I saved all of them in case our second was a boy)...there are some outfits that are definitely for boy but I'm not ready to part with. Is anyone saving some of your baby's favorite outfits, and if so, how many?
